i've heard from italian networks that Solari will join us next summer, in a sort of cafu like operation many months before the summer

if it's true, and madrid fans told me it's very likely cause he will leave madrid for sure, it's a crackin deal..i've always admired him

Interesting rumour to add to the Abbiati for Emre rumour. With I guess poses the question: Solari or Emre?

I would be happy with either Solari or Emre.

Can't see either being regulars on the first team, but both would definately strengthen the squad

Well if all conpiracies and rumours are woven together Milan would do the following trades:
1. Gilardino for cash, Crespo back to Chelski
2. Emre for Abbiati
3.Ronaldino for Rui Costa, Ambrosini and cash
4.Solari in for free
5.D'horasoo out for free

That would give us a starting midfield/attack of:
---------Kaka--Sheva
----------Ronaldino
---Seedorf--Pirlo--Gattuso

And a back-up midfield/attack of:
---------Pippo--Gilardino
-----------Tomasson (where he used to play)
------Serginho-Solari--Emre

Looks pretty sweet, but it aint gonna happen :( :)

Solari is a a very good player. Vicente is an amzing player. I guess if Solari comes very cheaply or for free, its a good deal for Milan. But it would be fantastic to get Vicente.

Solari's contract expires this summer: we all know that players with such contracts' conditions try to find a new place, if they don't renew, mant months before the contracts expires..so it's a totally reliable source imo..it happened with cafu as well

Gila will be rossonero, in Italy nobody has interest in him, Juve doesn't wste our deals and we do mutually, they chose Ibra. Inter has plenty of strikers, and they must strenghten defence instead. Roma can't afford it. In ITaly there's just Milan.

Torres is a Braida favourite, i believe he will be rossonero sooner or later.

Ronaldinho is just a dream but who knows.

Emre seems unlikely IMO.

Maniche to strenghten the midfield.

the difference is this: solari is used to accept the bench and always performs when called up, while we don't know about vicente. the other difference is something like 20 millions, Solari comes at zero cost, Vicente would be sold at the higher price possible

if we made those moves in the market then i wud rather use sumthing like this:
Gilardino------sheva
ronaldihno
Kaka---------pirlo-------gattuso

And seedorf cud b a supersub, he sub either pirlo, kaka or ronaldihno

Solari struck two superb freekicks for Real against Tenerife in the Copa del Rey yesterday. :rock3:

And when was the last time Bobby Carlos scored from one? :devf: All he ever does is to kick it either against the wall, or straight into the arms of the keeper. :delol:

And 3rd division Atletico Gramanet knocked another 1st division team out of the Copa del Rey after dispatching Barcelona in the previous round. The victims this time are Levante, surprisingly lying 3rd in La Liga. :eekani:

Viva Gramanet!!! :1ole:

Henrik,

1. Very likely scenario.
2. Emre is not for us IMO. He can stay at Inter. Solari is a better option.
3. Ain't happenin. :) Ronnie will be available after 3 seasons. Not now.
4. Good deal.
5. We don't lose financially but if a class mid arrives then no need for him.

That is for the Summer. What to do "N O W" when our reliance on Shev is ever so apparent and yet our coach and mgmt say bluntly that nothing is wrong and doesn't want to try something different? That is worrying. :v46:

Solari Closer To Milan
11/25/2004 12:16:00 PM
It now seems just a question of when Santiago Solari will become a Milan player.
The Argentine has little intention of renewing his contract at the Bernabeu, where he has had limited playing time this season.

He could join the Rossoneri in January, although the more likely alternative is that he will make the move for free in June when his contract expires.

I found this on Goal.com, it would be great. is it just me or does anyone else think he is one of the few "performers" for Real. When ever Iv seen him, hes played skillfully, got stuck in and scored important goals. What more do Real want from a player? :hammer:

Won't be a bad addition at all.

good replacement for serginho.
serginho has served us well, but his time is just bout up, if not already
Solari would be a good SUB, unless Seedorf performs deserving of an 'anti-seedorf' thread ...jk

Great addition and will provide extra width on the left, though I don't think he'll see more playing time here too. He's also cup-tied in the CL.

Solari wants to leave Real Madrid because he is not getting enough playing time. He wants to be a starter, a first team player.

We have Pirlo, Seedorf, Kaka, Rui Costa, Dhorasso, Ambrosini etc. in our "ceative" midfield (not counting the forgotten Serginho, Brocchi and "on loan" younger players). Many of these excellent players have to sit on the bench most of the time. With Solari added, who are we going to trade (and why?). Is it really worth to get excited about every single player in football and have a "buy everything" mentality before we even know if we have room for them?

Think about it.

Hmmmm... Not very sure about it, Josh. Since arrived from Atletico Madrid Solari was never a regular at first team and I think it really didn't bother him.
I presume he wants to leave because Real will start to rebuild and wants to play for a more stable team. You have no fun playing for a side like Real this season. They're easily accepting loosing...
But it's just a theory.
That said, if it's true, a very nice addition for Milan.

He was never a starter at real, but he certainly deserves to be. its not his fault if hes not considered a galacticos. Just look at what Morientes and Etoo did at other clubs. I think he would surprise alot of Seria A fans. :p286:

Santiago Solari is one of the best players on the left of midfield IMO, and his acceptance of his bench status at Madrid is something that he should be commended for, and indeed, if he is finally fed up, then I do hope that Milan buy/offer him a contract, when the time is rite.

Serghino could be off-loaded in favour of the Argentine, but that is a big mayb, considering the love affair that Milan currently have ongoing with Samba and all things Brazilian.

I cant recall any other Argentine...no here I go...Redondo and Crespo...but we have had precious few of them on our roster over the years, it is usually Inter that is chock-full of Argentines.

I am not here to debate which country produces better footballers, my 5 cents of input is all in praise of Solari, and to express my sincere hope that he does wear the Red and Black, and ASAP.

IMO, he should be the perfect replacement for a underperforming and aging Serghino.

I dont want to get into the "who is better Ronaldhino or Solari" debate either, but it seems that Solari's arrival is more emminent than that of the Brazillian, based on cost, etc.

His amazing dribbles, and tireless effort in the middle, both in tackling and off the ball movement, will make believers of any doubters once he is a rossenero.

FORZA MILAN, (and FORZA Solari, even if he doesnt arrive in Jan or June)

As far as I remember most of Argentine players will be flop at Milan. The best example is Roberto Ayala who now one of the best defender in La Liga. He was full-time on the bench when he stay at Milan. Right now we have Coloccini who is another Argentine but he has potential to be on the Milan starting eleven since he already start for his national team for the WC qualify games. :v46:

yeah... lets name the number of french flops at barca... alot...

but giuly is there and hes doing great appart from his recent injury.

thats a silly generalization... sorry

Solari To Betray Real And Join Barca

12/31/2004 2:55:00 PM

Santiago Solari has surprisingly agreed to move to his current club’s historic rivals Barcelona at the end of this season.

The move will be officially announced tomorrow when the transfer window officially reopens, however Solari will make the trip to the Azulgrana in June, the month in which his contract with the Merengues expires in.

The twenty eight year old Argentine, who was basically an eternal benchwarmer for Real, was also being tracked by Serie A giants Inter and AC Milan.

San Siro beckons for Solari

Real Madrid midfielder Santiago Solari could be heading for the San Siro, while Javier Portillo makes the opposite journey.

Galacticos President Florentino Perez is rumoured to have a poor relationship with the Argentine, although the arrival of Arrigo Sacchi at the club seems to have smoothed things over.

But it seems that Real would rather cash in now on an aging player whose contract is about to expire, especially with rivals Barcelona showing an interest.

Carlo Ancelotti has long been an admirer of Solari and hopes to convince him that Serie A could suit his style, after the player publicly rejected a move to Inter as part of the Ronaldo deal two years ago.

If Solari is leaving Real Madrid for Italy, then Javier Portillo is making the opposite journey after only six months.

The young striker scored a fine goal and set up another in Fiorentina’s 2-0 win over Chievo, but that proved a rare start at the Stadio Artemio Franchi.

Both Emiliano Mondonico and new boss Sergio Buso have left him on the sidelines and a swift return to Madrid seems likely.

“We want to replace Fernando Morientes with Portillo,” revealed Merengues director Emilio Butragueno after the veteran’s transfer to Liverpool was confirmed. “Of all the options we have looked at so far, his is the most concrete.”

Portillo is also eager for a comeback after his disappointing six-month loan spell in Serie A. “I hope that, if I must return to Madrid, it is done as quickly as possible,” added the striker. “The two clubs will talk to each other before contacting my agent to discuss terms.”

Elsewhere in the transfer market, Atalanta have signed 23-year-old Davide Sinigaglia on loan from Serie B outfit Arezzo.

This will be a great addition to our squad, i wish this transfer goes through, everytime he gets too start and gets enough playing time with madrid he seems to always do something, for example was last week were he started the in the derby and scored a goal.He will be a very iseful player. What do u guys think?
