View Full Version : madrid tracking carlo
I hope this is a wake up call to anyone detractors of our fabulous manager.
I agree we haven't been playing great but to blaim it on ancelotti, as some have been doing, is insane.
lets hope there is no repeat of the capello situation, where Berlu's comments practically gifted him to Madrid.

I hope theres no truth to this at this point, Carlo has done well in recent years and it would be a shame to lose him
I read the "news" on Channel 4 too. I doubt that there is much to this. Some Real official likely just answered a directed question, saying that they obviously track Ancellotti (as they are expected to do with all good managers).
Carlo might just decide to leave if Silvio and Galliani don't stop criticising his every move. This is what happened to Capello - Galliani put a condition on renewing Capello's contract that he had to win the scudetto that year. Capello won the scudetto, was thoroughly humiliated that Milan put that condition on him, and promptly went to Real.
If Carlo leaves, Milan will end up with sub-standard managers that lead Milan through a few mediocre seasons before Milan decide to wake up and hire a real leader like Carlo and then wonder why they got rid of him in the first place. It makes me mad when they criticise Carlo - one of the best coaches Milan had since Sacchi.
Thing is, it woudl take real guts from a coach to go to Real now dont you think? Obviously the lure is still there, but your going into an ageing team who have had their best days. There is no stability and if you base your team on a sounding defence then you have no chance of surviving...
I don't think carlo will be leaving despite his low perfomance am still his fan :rone:

low performance???? if you consider winning 5 trophies (2 major ones) in 2 years low performance then I doubt any coach would be able to 'satisfy' you ;)
Ancelotti is not at fault at all for Milan's low key performances as of late. Some of the players have yet to find their rhythm.Kaka for example looked out of sorts against Siena.Berlusconi should be careful with his words.Although,i do agree with him that we must field 2 strikers for any match.Ancelotti needs time.We shouldn't forget that he won the Champion's League and that Italian league in successive seasons

milan did awesome with one striker and two playmakers in the CL. this is because opponents didn't know who to defend to stem the flow to sheva - rui or kaka? On top of that, they didn't know if Kaka was a roaming striker or a playmaker. It added a lot of variables for opponents to solve and essentially created confusion in their ranks. Milan took apart teams like Bayern Munich, Real Madrid and the like with that strategy. I think Ancelotti should be allowed to do what he wants.

totally agree. I am sick of hearing how carlo must play from berlu, it undermines his authority. also as someone said it would take guts to go to madrid, but still without talking about the money available and the lure the club has he might go just to get a chance to manage a team the way he wants to.
i hope the criticisms are resolved, though we'll know nothing about it as carlo needs to go to galliani behind closed doors and tell him to stop commenting on him in the media.
carletto can turn madrid into a powerhouse. the club has the money to buy whoever he wants. and carlo will probably ask for a few stars that can perform and squad players who are efficient - like milan. he will dismantle their ridiculous "galacticos" policy and ask for real players with no egos who can bring titles to madrid.
milan will then cringe, and wonder why the hell they let him go. berlusconi will assign galliani to find a replacement and galliani will try
a) luring lippi to milan (impossible)
b) bringing trappatoni or zeman as a stop-gap solution
c) trying to tempt del neri to come to millan
d) if all else fails, let carletto stay at madrid for a year and beg him to come back - as they did with capello.
shut up silvio. we should be glad we have someone like him who has won so much with us. you would think carlo knows what he is doing.
Lets say worst case here and the unthinkable happens. Who could replace him? Two names spring to mind not on the list above.
Rijkard or Marco Van B?
Or what about "Bring back Fati Therim" - you must be joking!!!!

well, if were gonna lose Carlo, then I would promote Tassotti.
i think carlo's done a great job, and the players obviously respect him as he seems to be keeping the majority of the squad happy even tho some a very little playing time.
