Milan maintain that they have no plans to make any signings during the January transfer window.
The Rossoneri have been linked with a host of strikers given their problems in attack so far this term.
But the outfit insist that they won’t be netting Alberto Gilardino (Parma), Fernando Torres (Atletico) or Bernardo Corradi (Valencia).
"There are players around who could interest us but we won’t be buying because we want to maintain our squad balance," stated Vice-president Adriano Galliani.
"To bring in an important player would mean to replace someone we already have. Given that we’ve got 14 top-class players, we don’t need anyone else.
"A team is only successful if there is harmony in the camp and we don’t want to disrupt that. Anyway, Pippo Inzaghi will be back from injury at the end of January."
Galliani added that the club don’t need a new forward as they arguably already have the best around, in the shape of Andriy Shevchenko.
"He deserves the Golden Ball," noted the official. "If he doesn’t win it this time then he might as well give up, especially as an award that never honoured Franco Baresi has problems.
"Shevchenko is simply fantastic and he’s excited me ever since he scored his first goal for us."
Meanwhile, the champions will be without defender Dario Simic for the next three months because of injury.

does it matter what he is saying now? the new attacker may not come, but it won't be because that he said so. :)
Drama queen. What Galliani says hardly matter, he just say what he is supposed to say and don't upset the squad.
Galliani lies a lot. I think he enjoys it.
from here until January nothing can be done, so everyone (and obviously Galliani too) need to show support to Crespo and JDT....saying that a new striker will be bought is hardly a way to improve their morale ;) . Anyway, they are not stupid, both of them....and especially Crespo, know that if they don't start delivering until January (I REALLY doubt that will happen) they might see a newcomer relegating one of them (Crespo) out of the team's plans.
I really don't see why there is so much talking about buying a striker in the January transfer market....what if JDT and Crespo start playing and scoring as their old selfes? obviously there wouldn't be a need for a new striker for this season, especially as Pippo should be back by February. Only IF things continue as they are now until January, then a new player could be signed, otherwise no need for anyone until next summer......besides, Milan is not exactly famous for buying players in the middle of the season :D ..... Well, that's only my opinion ;)

Crespo and Tomasson will def be their old selves come Jan...no need to worry bout our attack  ...these 2 strikers will find the consistency to bang the back of the net against Palermo, Shakthar, Chievo etc...dun worry~~ :guw:
It's another smokescreen by Galliani. A new striker will be in by Jan if Crespo/JDT is still misfiring.
I don't know if we are going to buy anybody. I highly doubt that we will spend money in January. However, if Pozzi is allowed to come back, then i can really see Galliani bringing him back. I don't care if he is young. If superstar Crespo and JDT don't start putting the ball in the back of the net, I don't mind at all seeing Pozzi in front of them.
I am sorry for writing again.......i just had this in mind but i forgot to include it in the previous post. I read that Mido wants to leave Roma.
Channel 4:"Egyptian striker Mido looks likely to leave Roma in the January transfer window - just months after his arrival.
"We are ready to go now if that is what the club wants," stated agent Mino Raiola. "In fact, we can’t wait to depart seeing the current situation."
The forward was signed on transfer deadline day but he has rarely featured under either Rudi Voller or Gigi Del Neri.
"Mistakes are being made with regard to Mido," added the representative. "The club are struggling but they are in no shape to help or defend him against the media and the fans.
"He’s not even being given the chance to show people his quality because he doesn’t play and when he does he is put on the left. Mido is a striker."
The former Marseille player has been recently linked with Manchester City and Raiola admits they have options.
"We have offers but if Mido leaves then we will decide his destination, even if we have yet to talk to Roma," he continued.
"My client is not happy but I have to admit that I have never seen a situation like this.
"There are players here (Antonio Cassano) who have been frozen out of the squad but then play 90 minutes on their return. It’s incredible."
A loan deal for him would not be bad.......but as i said.........only if Crespo and JDT don't find their form any time soon!
Have you heard about Emre? He wants to leave inter... and join Milan....joke isn't it...:haha:

Not a smart idea to make a public statement about a new forward when Jon and Crespo are trying really hard to find their lost form. Galliani is following Pipo's progress with a microscope and use another one to follow Jon and Crespo just in case the team need to hire another forward.
He's probably trying to hire a striker now to introduce by January if necessary, but never will say this to the press. Nevertheless, I believe in them and sooner they'll start to deliver. Kaká and Pirlo will help the scoring record too.
Let's just all remember that Galliani is the man behind famous quotes like "we will either get Ronaldo, Figo or Beckham". Allthough I generally like him, he is a bit of a clown when it comes to media.
I think i read in an article that Chelsea want to take Crespo back to exchange him with Maxi Lopez from River Plate.

Agree 100%
Anyway, if by january Crespo and JDT (and Kaka) still arent scoring then surely we will be out of the title race. In that case Id rather sign the best possible stiker in the summer rather than a "reliable" striker who is allowed to play in the CL this january. Everyone needs to relax, its like buses, once one comes 10 more come with it :diablo: They will start scoring soon afterall they are strikers, they cant go 4 months without any goals. All we need is that first goal from Crespo and watch the pressure be lifted.
Robinho is available at £14M....a snip. Time to get the cash out Galliani!
Just media speak. If someone becomes available we'll sign him.
Usually the January window is restricted in the business you can do. I'd be surprised to see any big purchase, just a couple of squad additions perhaps.

Although Crespo is back, but we still need a tall central foward, don't you guys agree with me?

I think that we've already enough strikers for this season.
But a player like Gilardino would be a great investment in the future, Inzaghi, for example, isn't getting younger.
