Proposals for Rules
These are basic member rules that will apply to ALL registered users at MM:
1. The main purpose of these forums is to discuss soccer/football. Please, no political or religious discussions as even the most well-intentioned usually deteriorates into personal attacks which people find offensive.
2. No one’s opinion is more correct than anyone else’s. These boards were created as a place to discuss and debate. All members have a right to voice their opinions. It is possible to disagree without being disagreeable.
3. If you want to be respected, you need to show respect for others. No personal attacks or harassment of a sexual, cultural, ethnic or political nature. Such behavior has nothing to do with supporting a football team.
4. Members who insist on continually and repeatedly being rude and disrespectful should expect consequences. If a warning from a forum moderator or Administrator is ignored, further action will include a temporary barring from the site, or a ban. Disciplinary action against a member generally begins with a public warning, followed by a warning PM from a moderator. In the unlikely event that the offender fails to comply with forum regulations after these warnings, a second warning or the revocation of membership privileges (banning) will follow. In severe cases of personal threats or general malice, a member may be banned without prior warning.
5. Signatures and avatars (provided by the site or personal ones) are allowed as a way to personalize your presence on the boards. All rules apply to these areas just as they do to your messages. Keep the boards fun, don’t abuse the personal touches that have been built in for you!
6. If you as a member of these forums notice a post that is in poor taste, or a member who is willfully bending or breaking our simple rules, you can and should report it. You may use the Report this Post feature, and/or you may PM the moderator of the forum where you saw the problem.
