Not very impressed with the new site layout. The one thing that I dislike, and makes up for most of my decision is that the News Breifs that post on the far right are now more difficult to read. Before you were able to move the release around the page, and search through a number of comments. Now you are locked to the smallest of corners, with limited release info. Second, you still must pay a membership fee for the photo's, video's, and live radio broadcast. The radio broadcast does make it nice for us supporters without TV access, but It lacks the additional text reports that you see on others (Inters) site, and UEFA which certainly Rocks! SOrry to say that Milan made an investment without looking at what else is available, and resulted in a below par result. Maybe next time they will get it right. Best thing is that it has no effect on the Play, Forza Milan!!!
i think it sucks.
yes, it is much fancier. but so what, i lose more much.
all i cares are: (1) the big picture, now it is gone! (2) easy-reading flash news, now it is not easy reading anymore! (3) all the pictures, still need to pay for them to have a look.
it really sucks!!!!!!!
by the way, who said that the pictures are now free? they are not.
and i had to re-register from the very beginning! and much more demanding this time. i had to provide some much information! although i faked the most important one or two, damn it, all the work got nothing back.
www.acmilan.com always sucks!
the old website sucked. this new one is better but still looks like a fan site.

i think the official site is ****!!!! inter merda have a much better site!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :(
The new site is ok, but could have been alot better, it doesn't look very professional in my opinion. The Flash introduction is a joke. There's no point in having it if you're going to just tween some pictures around, if you use Flash make the most of the animation, make it worth while. A big mistake is using compressed pictures in this intro, it smacks of poor quality. I'd expect more from whoever did this, in fact if a student of mine showed this to me i'd be pretty disappointed by it. So lets just say i'm not a big fan of what they did with that bit.
When you get into the site it's just a standard 3 column web site, nothing spectacular, although there are some nice features. The news brief section in the far right could have worked alot better, it's hard to see the scroll bar when it's coloured white on a white background. I don't think it's that bad now it's docked into the site and doesn't open up in a new window, it's just that it could be improved alot more to make it more user friendly.
Certain graphics and font sizes are too big and make it look too amateurish, while the quality of ads on the left don't help at all, they're terrible. The huge waste of white space at the bottom isn't good, it should either be filled with more things or you should stop the video files on the right to align with the last news boxes in the middle. Finally i did a quick look to see the photo gallery and resizing pictures so they look out of proportion as thumbnails is a another bad mistake.
I don't think it's that bad, but just basic web design errors. I'd expect more from an official site. More dynamic graphics/visuals and a much tighter layout.

Have you forwarded your post to here: redazione@milanchannel.com? If not, please do it!

Don't disagree with any of what you said but in my experience the really best designs are those made by 'amateurs' not anybody working for a big team or corporate site.

Thats because restrictions on corporate sites are not given to amateurs. Its like in my course when I had to build three sites. The first time, I got to do pretty much what I wanted and implement things how I wanted, which resulted in a decent enough site that worked well and was efficient.
The next two sites were ok, but I was given a formal specification of how to implement the sites (ones actually written by companies). In development I found that these sites were far poorer than my original site, as I was forced to use standard development techniques that would often result in inneficient structure.
What Jim said is very true though, its got many basic problems in there that no site should have.

It runs a little better on my computer, but I dont like the Latest News now what so ever, alot harder to read.
You still have to pay for pictures which in my opinion is a disgrace!
Well it’s a little better now that I don't need to turn of my pop-up stopper every time I visit the Milan site ... But still, why couldn't the news be given a central place in the middle column with the header, an introduction and a "read more" button like in any other newspaper?
Some amateurs can make incredible sites, this is true. Indeed that is how people progress, amateurs with talent then become greats in any walk of life. It is also true that maybe there were strict guidleines that the designer had to follow, in which case maybe he/she/they did the best they could. Sometimes you can come up with an outstanding idea that you know will be amazing, but if the client doesn't want it then there's nothing you can do but go with what the client wants, they pay the bill after all.
However, the errors made should still have been corrected by anyone who considers themselves a web designer. Sub standard creations saturate the market and this is what you end up with, poorly executed design.
As for the Inter site, i had a look and it's good, but not great.
Before we used SA's template and now we have goal.com's...
Can we have a layout rather unique?
it's more convenient .the short movie at the beginning is good.i don't have to choose ""English"" any more after i log in once:funpc:.and the news board is in the main site, don't need to open another window.
but the fresh movies are less than the old, feel like less active.
finally i think it's better than the old
