Fernando Redondo abbandona l`attività agonistica
Sab 27 Nov, 11:54 AM

totally agree with above. Also he was a hugely technically gifted player.

Redondo Bids Farewell To The Beautiful Game
11/27/2004 1:28:00 PM
Former Argentina and Real Madrid great Fernando Redondo announced he has decided to end his football playing career.
“I have had great satisfactions, but there arrives a moment when one must turn the page,” said the 35 year old Redondo.
Last month Redondo declined an offer to join the Qatar league.
In his career Redondo won two Champions League titles and two Liga championships with the Merengues, before joining AC Milan.
Even though he won a Champions League title with Milan as well, his Rossonero adventure will be remembered more for the knee injury suffered right after he joined them that practically ended his career.
Redondo also collected twenty nine caps and one goal with the Argentine national team.
In hindsight, he could of remained at Milan, but instead of playing regularly, he is now retired. He deserved a better send-off....
Forza Milan
Yeah, I agree with you guys.
I wish him all the best for his future.
I wish Fernando all the best in the future and thank him for his efforts at Milan.
Hopefully his relationship with the club will remain good. I am sure he could become a great scout for Milan in Argentina (like Leo is in Brazil), should he so desire :)

There goes another legend of our time (along with Roberto Baggio), he has said that he wants to continue working in Football after taking a year out to relax. He also said that he has maintained excellant relationships with both Real Madrid and AC Milan, so the possibility of him working as a agent, scout or coach is most likely! Whatever he chooses to do i hope he achieves much success because he was a true professional and is a gentlemen, he was also my idol when i was growing up through the 90's! So for all the memories Fernando, thank you very much!!
thank you... prince fernando

However, redondo's one of the best defensive midfielder ever in history.
like Basten's comment 4 years ago bout Nando :
"He plays the ball like having magnet in both of feet"

I think we should hold a match between Milan and Real to honour his achievement and successful career. Most of Real fans still remember, and never forget his great performance on their white shirt. :respect:
Indeed, he was one of the best center midfielders in the world(I haven't seen a player that passes the ball with that class), a true lider, a gentleman. If he wouldn't have had problems with Pasarella(I have never really understand what that problem was about) we would have enjoy him even more.
Good luck Fer!!!!!!!!!

I might be wrong, but I think the problem was with the length of his hair

True, the reason that Redondo was not in the Argentina WC 98 team is because he refused to cut his hair short. Batistuta also has this similar problem with his Jesus hairstyle but he did cut his hair shorter (still long anyway :v103: ) so Pasarella allowed him to be on the plane to France.

i dont have good memories from him he did nothing for us and took a place that a true rossonero like demetrio could had.
he made me angry because when he was injured appeared in a alot of shows always talking about real madrid and all the love he had for that team and not a word for milan.
He offenden milan history in many ways by taking demetrio's place and billy's number thats too much for a man who had only real madrid in his mind.
