Bonera, Simplicio, Budel (already ours) and Cannavaro jr and of course Gila (about Gila there's his own thread)

who do you think will be good enough to play for us in years to come?

I think Bonera is the best..looks solid and hard to beat, already fitted into Italian regulars, i think we must keep more than an eye on him..it's precious material

I have insisted buying Canna, Bonera and Gila for more than a year...and I hope I would be heard eventually.

Gila is supreme sriker. If we lose Crespo he would be indispensble forour squad., regarding that Pippo isnt the one he used to be earlier.

Bonera and Canna are also the highest class talents who surely play in some superclub in future [God bless it would be Milan :D ], regarding that Billy, Paolo, Cafu and Stam will be all lost probably in next three or four years.

Gilardino definetely.
Bonera maybe later.
The rest is not really needed and imo not Milan class (at least for now, but I doubt they'll be later too).

We should only go for proven top players, not promising ones. And right now only Gila fits into the first category.

Keep in mind this is the same Parma who can't get anything right against mediocre opposition in Europe....

Giovanni, is it true what Goalcity report below? If yes not bad at all.

Milan, mercato fatto: presi Gilardino e un esterno. Jankulovski o Solari
Sab 04 Dic, 5:31 PM

i didn't know cause i'm not surfing that much
I'm a bit surprised but not taht much, because Gila is said to have already a deal, and we just wait to formalise it into a official contract, and the left winger is a spot where we need a top class player and either Solari or Jankulovsky fit into this definition

sounds pretty good

Solari would be signed as at free transfer and he would be the ideal substitute for Serginho. (Serginho is now 33!!)

Bonera would be an excellent signing considering also our average age of most defencers. We should also keep an eye on Cannavaro jr.

Bonera has impressed though he's still very much a card magnet, but that aspect of his game will improve if he receives guidance from Maldini, Nesta & co. :devf:

No one mentioned Sebastian Frey? Maybe not as an immediate signing but say 3, 4 years down the road.

Frey is Merde's material, esp after Toldo's downfall

i hope not, out of all the keepers out there, i would like this guy to deputise dida in the not so near future hopefully...

i think gila should arrive here defeinatly... about jankulovski, now thats a player i adore, i really hope we can sign him as for solari well i always was a fan of his and hopefully hell join us for free.

have u heard that tomasson might be out for this year? ... maybe this can be a reason to sign gila now.

we can't sign him now ;) , we can only sign him on January, and by that time JDT will be back, and SuperPippo will be almost back, so there is no point in getting Gila just yet.... maybe in the summer.

what about tomasson?

it'd be a total disgrace to lose pippo and tomasson, plus a cresp with dodgy health

The thing about Pippo is, how long will stay healthy after coming back?
Only Milan doctors know that (and I doubt even they do).
So amanagement has to make a decision in January.

Frey'd be a good option at only 24. Dida is pushing 31. Maybe a short term option could be De Sanctis at 27 years old which is sorta pushing the age envelop, but he's a proven top class goalkeeper and one of the more udnerrated keepers in Serie A.

There was a talk in tribalfootball (not the best or most reliable of sources I know) that the transfer movements for next year have been determined, and my speculation would guess its one of Solari or Jankulowski (probably Solari as he's free) and Gilardino. Very slim chance of a new right back (to perhaps cover Cafu), but it's interesting to see how it pans out.

I wouldn't be at all disappointed if it turned out that it was Solari and Gilardino or Jankulowski and Gilardino- to be honest it would be nicer if it were Marek Jankulowski cos we'd be stealing him from under Juve's noses.

31 years for a keeper is nothing..zoff was top class at almost 40

dida is young

Bonera. solid defender well worth getting, I think he would improve with us. also plus that he is a Milan fan.

Simplicio. I seen to little of him to make a judgement.

Budel. I seen little of him too, but he looks like he lacks in the physical apartment and doesn't have the outstanding skills to make that up. Read: He is slow and pretty weak. I hope I am wrong tough.

Canna junior needs to step up, I feel he is not going to be what he was touted as.

Gila is the future for Italys attack, need I say anything more?

Oh I agree, Dida can play for many more years and I'm hoping he does I rank him as the best keeper in the world, but the topic of a backup in Frey was brought up and I was just questioning whether De Sanctis would be a good option.

Has anyone seen much of Grella, I'm from Australia and don't get to see a lot of games unless I'm at a mates place, and am curious to see if he's rated well.

Frey is only 24? My god he's been playing for years already.
I like Gila and Bonera amongst the options listed. All the other's I am not impressed with.

i agree about dida not being old... thats why i said "in the not so soon future" or something in that meaning.

but i would love to have frey at milan when dida retires... god i dont want to picture that... i think he has made a legend out of himself here already
