the oppertunity for puyol was there though, a season or two ago. I remember him saying that he'd leave to help barca's financial situation and a price of 6.5m was getting thrown around. would have been a brilliant signing, maybe there was no truth in it, it seems to good for it to be real and have every other team in the world pass it up.

We Bonera is on the table (not my favourite). I still regret sold Oddo instead of loaning him out. He could have been a good back-up for Cafu.
