I see that Juve are claiming to have signed Adrian Mutu, recently sacked by Chelsea,on a 5 year deal.I think he is banned for most of this season although he may be available again in May. He will fit in well with the "drug culture" at juve!Would you have taken a chance on him?
When he was at Parma he was one of the best players in all of serie A, whether what has happened since has ruined his football ability is the question.
hes a good signing for them, in my opinion he is a very good player and if he sorts out his 'lifestyle' it will be a good piece of business? not sure juve is the best place to go to though if you are trying to stay away from drugs! :dielaugh:
Here is a report from www.channel4.com
Juventus have officially signed former Chelsea star Adrian Mutu, though he won’t be available until his drugs ban expires in May.
Reports in his native Romania over the last few days had hinted at a pre-contract agreement penned with the Bianconeri, but late this evening the five-year deal was confirmed by the Juventus website.
Mutu had been linked to Juve even before he tested positive for cocaine and was handed a seven-month suspension.
Chelsea fired the player, so he is free to sign for any club he wants, even if the Stamford Bridge side has hinted it wants compensation from his future employers.
As the ban expires on May 18, the Romanian will be able to play the final two games of the Serie A season.
Mutu turned 26 years of age on Saturday and the interest of other sides, including Fiorentina, has evidently pushed Juventus to stake their claim early.
He therefore returns to Serie A, where he had successful spells at Inter, Hellas Verona and Parma before joining Chelsea in a £15.8m move
Given his doping past & a club like Dopentus, I'll say it's a perfect match :devf:

ooohhhhh SHEIZA!!!!!! We have to be SUPER catious now. Forget Del Piero, this is gonna mean trouble for us. He is a proven Serie A striker. Granted he changed during his time in Englad, but a proven Serie A striker means trouble. I mean, look at Crespo, forget about his Chelsea days, he's doing the job for us (IMO it's not too pretty), but he's doing it. And in a somewhat similar fashion Juve get this guy, who in my opinion is/was better than Crespo

the answer is he went to england. look at crespo and veron. when they came back to italy they looked so much better again. mutu will look like in his parma days again, but i dont know if there will be place there for him. yeah and when will juve be able to use him? next year!

Mutu was simply a player who never settled at Chelsea and was pretty much aloud to lead his party boy lifestyle. He won't be doing any of that at Juve and he will prove to be a good signing.Juventus are a quality professional establishment and willl knuckle down hard at the club.certainly a good signing.
He is a drug addict so he's good for juve
he won't be available till may. and mutu is not a "drug-addict" lol. he was involved in a doping ban. there's a difference.
I think its a bit of a risk. He is a great player with bags of talent, look how he started at chelsea. Only problem is his attitude. As soon as party boy lifestyle took hold he went down hill. Apparently as well he wouldn't talk to any of the players at chelsea and when john terry questioned him about it he basically told him where to go. Again thats just from papers so how true it is im not sure.
Regarding crespo though, people seem to think he was woeful at chelsea. 10 goals in 16 games (not even full games) aint a bad return for an apparently terrible player!! opta done the stats out and mins on the pitch to goals ratio he was top of the prem, way ahead of henry!!!
When Chelsea played in the champions league in my opinion they looked a little lightweight and lacking in class up front until he came on.

thought he was admitting to some sorta sexual perfomance enhanced drugs...?? If i m not wrong..he was saying sth like ..i took sth that makes me feel good..
IMO it's like most of the stars from serie a if they go to England premiership, they won't play beyond people's expectation but as soon as they go back to serie a they will back at their best for example look at crespo

:27rr:
He will fit in well. Moggi will sort a dealer for him and his lifestyle will not have to change that much.
lol
I think the main reason is that a lot of players in seria a see the prem as being a money making scam. When you leave italy you are leaving a league where you have to be at the top of your game to survive and if you go to england its pick up the big cheque and smile. With that attitude you are never going to reach your best.
