GALLIANI: 'Making every effort to keep Crespo'
5/27/2005
MILAN- Adriano Galliani then talked about the transfer market: 'We are making every effort to keep Hernan Crespo. The player is ready to turn down a lot of money to stay at Milan. I saw after the final how much Hernan understood what it was to be part of this team. As for the transfer market it is one to make you smile as we will work hard to bring in players who even other sides really want. It will be a targeted market, reduced and selective as in other years. Both Tomasson and Dhorasoo will remain and as far is Gilardino is concerned, we have a lot of respect for Parma so we will only speak when the season is over.'

I like Dhorasoo. I think whenever he has played he hasn't dissappointed he just never got many chances. I hope he stays.
I think JDT will stay only untill we have a definite deal for Crespo/Gilardino. If either deal falls through he would stay.
read the dhorasso thread to get a hint of every match where he played good. when he plays he hardly makes any mistakes. he loses the ball FAR less than seedorf and gattuso for one thing and he also is able to launch attacks from deep in the hole (Pirlo's) position and he also possesses great speed and balance. what is there not to like about him?

hmm if he said we will see what will happen with Gilardino, and he said he's trying to close the deal with Chelsea for Crespo, and he confirmed JDT is staying, and we all know Sheva is staying...... does that mean Pippo will be sacrificed? I know they all love him, and has a contract till 2009 if i remember correctly.. or does this mean we'll have 5 strikers?
we dont need 5, we just need to get rid of JDT.. and maybe inzaghi cuz he's never available for selection and thus always forcing Carlo to have problems in attack

I think Dhorasoo should stay but am slightly surprised that JDT will stay.
How often does acmilan.com reveals comments about transfers?

Laudrup does have a point, to a certain extent, but I also like Vikash and think he was way under-used by Carlo this season.
Dhorassoo should stay, IMO he deserved to play more this season. About the strikers I ask a question, if Sheva, Crespo, JDT and Inzaghi are all staying, there is few or NO space for Gilardino!!!!!!!!!!!

I read that JDT is refusing to leave.
He said that it makes him feel good that many clubs are showing interest about him, but he has a contract with Milan till 2009 and his intention is to honour that contract.

I also read that if Gilardino arrives Inzaghi is not ready to be the fourth striker and will ask the club to leave.

Yeah, I read it too, but if we keep jdt crespo and pippo and dont get any one new and fresh we have no chance on winning scudetto 2006. Dhorasso will be better next year when he learns some tactical moves, his techinque is good. As for gialrdino if galliani really wants to wait untill so long we will loose him, 100%. It seems like Del Piero is gonna go away, or maybe Trezeguet so juve will have the money. But to keep JDT ... hell NOOO!! Tomasson has to leave, sure..its nice to play for milan but we are not a charity club...I want him away, give him for 5 mil. i dont care...
Whatever galliani means just reverse it and you still might be wrong  Remember when he said milan were not even interested in dharosso then all of a sudden we signed him.
If its true Im glad abour Vikash only if he plays more, but JDT has really dissappointed. I remember calling him our Sholjkaer in his first season, but since then hes been poor.

I agree zlatanov - I can't understand why Carlo didn't use him more this season, especially towards the end of the season when other players were getting tired. But I really can't see the point of keeping him, unless he's going to be used. If Carlo won't play him when other players need a rest at the end of a long season, when will he play him? Either play him or let him go and use the wages on another player.
As for JDT, he's just not good enough for Milan at the moment. He's done nothing to impress me this season, and I can't see that keeping him is a good move. If he stays, and Hernan and Gila sign, then where does it leave Pippo???

Dhorosso is a classic footballer. Good control, quick, good passer, good work rate. a coaches dream you would think??

Agreed, which makes you wonder why he hasn't played more games? Has he fallen out with Carlo?

i think he was injured in the last few weeks and therefore couldn't play. but i just read it in another forum so it may be wrong.
i hope he can show his worth more often next season but i don't know how carlo sees this ...

Vikash doesn't seem to be the pretentious type of player - did someone say Cassano - and I honestly can't picture him falling out with Carlo, especially given that this was his first season at Milan and Dhorasoo more or less was still adapting to Italy and the club and probably felt sort of insecure at times.
As for injuries being the reason for his rare appearances, yes he was injured at one point and then when he got better he got called up to the French NT and there he aggravated his injury but this whole story didn't last longer than 3-4 weeks.
I think the real reason why Carlo sort of avoided playing Dhorasoo is that, as Laudrup mentioned, he lacks the tactical awareness and discipline of all players, Italians or foreigners, who have experience playing in the Serie A. When I watch Dhorasoo I sort of get the feeling that he is not very convinced when to go forward, or when to get back in defence, or when to remain where he is and cover for another player, who has rushed forward.
Apart from that, Dhorasoo can give a run for their money to Pirlo, Seedorf, and Kaka as far as ball control and accurate passing are concerned. The Frenchman has an excellent view on the game as well - very good, actually wonderful, ball-distribution skills from him.
