the first transfer window is from july 1st 2005 to 30th august 2005

and the second transfer window from 1st january 2006 to 31st january 2006

Depends on which country you are talking about. Some countries have transfer markets open all year around. Others have transfer markets open for specific times of the year. If you are referring to Italy, it is open right now. It will close sometime after the season begins and reopen in january.
