Some rumours here are been counted by the press, Milan would have offered 10 millions of Euros for 70% of his pass. Fred is a great striker, with 21 years. For me would be a great sign. The brother of Fred said that talked to Milan to make right the transference.
" Milan does not have plus any interest for the act of contract of the Fred aggressor of the Cruise. The official position of the Italian club was transmitted to the UAI (journal of here) for the lawyer Antonio Sergio, one of its representatives in Brazil. According to it, the negotiation between Milan, Cruzeiro and Fred existed, but it has one month, and already she was discarded for the direction rossoneros in function of the refusal of the brother and solicitor of the athlete, Rodrigo Guedes, to the proposal wage presented. Antonio Sergio counted that the Aloísio Brazilian Saints, overseer of the Milan, came observing the aggressor since February. In June, already determined to contract Fred, the milanesa direction sent the Belo Horizonte an entrepreneur Fifa Paolillo Gaetano and the father of Kaká, Bosco. The Cruise accepted the proposal, but Rodrigo would have rejected it."

He is not a Ronaldo, but is a very good striker. (I support Atlético, rival of Cruzeiro)

It would be great if he join Milan. I think he is ready for an european adventure and in few years will be a star. If I'm not mistaken, he scored 36 goals in 36 matchs this year and was the top striker of Campeonato Mineiro and Copa do Brasil. In the latter tournament, he set a new record scoring 14 goals.

Fred??? that name just doesnt sound right for a Brazilian, more like a cockney name. He'd get more respect if his name was Fredinho or something like that :D

Anyway, i suppose with Pippo and Vieri the wrong side of 30 we will need a new striker in a few years so if he's only 21 he could be a long term solution. I've never seen him play though so i wont pretend to know if he's any good..

And I say more, Fred and Gila in the Milan's attack in the future would be great.

There´s the source. His agent says the offer is ridiculous. He also says there is another club after him that he refuses to name.

The offer is far from ridiculous - Fred and his agent-wanna-be, who also happens to be Fred's brother, have 15% or Fred's rights. Milan have reportedly offered 1.5 mil (either US or euros) for this share. This means that Milan are evaluating the player at 10 mil, and given that we got Kaka for $8.5 mil US (and back then the market wasn't any different), this is anything but a "ridiculous" offer.
And these cheap tricks - "there is someone else interested in him but I am not gonna give you the name" - are a bit too familiar to people like Galliani and Co, who have been in the lies-for-dollars business for quite some time now. So far, the only thing Fred's pseudo-agent aka brother has managed to do is hamper him from making it into the big stage. And this whole story of brotherly love suspiciously reminds me of how one other great talent got wasted rather quickly - Nicolas Anelka.

If you read Calciomercato again it mentions in another article that Nantes and Marseille are looking to sign Fred also. How true this is though is another matter.

Has he really scored 36 goals in 36 games ? Going back to Calciomercato it says that he scored 10 goals in 2003 and 12 in 2004, or something like that ... so someone has things a bit wrong somewhere. Lets not go overboard here either, don't forget Luis Fabiano had an incredible scoring record and big things were expected of him at Porto, but he failed to deliver. Injuries played their part, but it remains to be seen if he will fulfill his potential in Europe.

A good scoring record in Brazil doesn't always mean they'll be an instant success over here.

Has he really scored 36 goals in 36 games?
Yes. His record playing for Cruzeiro is: 53 goals in 66 matches. Ronaldo's was 52/59. I am not suggesting that he will be as good as Ronaldo, but if you compare him with Robinho, for exemple, there is a huge difference. The latter scored 70 goals over the last two seasons and half and Real paid 30 mi euro for his rights.
I can't imagine what he can do playing with Kaká, Pirlo, Jankulovski, Sheva, Gila...

A good scoring record in Brazil doesn't always mean they'll be an instant success over here.
Agree with you. And Luis Fabiano, as you mentioned, is a very good exemple. But believe me when I say that Fred is ready to play for a big squad there. He has nothing more to prove or, unfortunately, learn here.

I doubt he will be good, but afterall, I havent seen our Braida do much mistakes. I hope Vieri won´t be the first mistake Braida has made.

Braida selected Javi Moreno; maybe the worst ever striker at Milan. Even Jose Mari was a god compared to Jave Moreno.

no way is fred better than luis fabiano...fabiano didn't get into many games at porto, maybe this upcoming season with sevilla will be different. anyways we got too many forwards....we should be focusing on Rafael from coritiba...he will be a great sub for cafu!!

You´re right, Rafinha is GREAT!!!
the funny thing is that we always have problem to find a substitute for Cafu in Brazil NT...and right now we have 3 great players( Daniel, Cicinho e Rafinha).

There already is at least 1 thread about brazilian players, no need for another new one. Just means people have to LOOK for it first ... i know that's hard to do :rollani: :D

Back to Fred, it'll be interesting to see how he does with Lyon. Juninho and Cris will make him feel welcome, so he should settle. I wonder if he'll play in tonight's match for the French side.

man those were two awful players. i wonder why milan even signed them. I guess they will never ever ever take a top scorer from la liga again lol. Javi Moreno and Jose Mari. Man these two guys should reimburse milan their salaries!

The best brazilian player in Brazil now in my opinion is Marques, of Atlético Mineiro. He has 32 years, but is faster than many players in the world, and he is so habilidous.

Quite well. Despite being a bit crazy, he already had some "problems" with many of his colleagues, he posses a huge talent and has been showing this since arrived here.
He needs to mature a bit, but is one of the greatest talents in world. Hands down!

Is difficult the Corinthians sell Tevez in the next 5 years. They don't need money.

And Mascherano is a great player too, but he is injured now!

Edílson too, have much talent, but isn't professional and is old.
