Does anyone know if Eurosport will continue to cover next seasons serie A?I see that Setanta are also covering Italian football-I do hope that they have not got exclusive rights in the UK.Also I notice that British Eurosport is now available with a Freeview box.

www.setanta.com - it's a private broadcasting company whose Sports "branch" - Setanta Sports - airs games from European Championships such as EPL, SPL, Serie A, Bundesliga, UEFA CL etc. in the UK and US too.

Setanta is an irish sports station that also broadcast pay per view on sky digital. They also broadcast to foreign countries. They started out broadcasting the Irish sports over to the US and are now the largest privately owned sports network in the world.

Sorry but you did ask whats setanta!!! Anyways if your livign in ireland you get it as part of your ntl package with out the pay per view aspect so yes they will be showing all serie a games next season

It's going to be on Bravo! aswell.

Bravo will show sunday-night games, a highlights show, a delayed game midweek and a magazine show like Gazetta Football Italia on C4.

Setanta will show other games, presumably on a saturday or sunday afternoon.

I was about to post about Bravo (I hope its better than the Brazil coverage they have). That came as quite the shock tbh, but it looks as though British Eurosport have lost the rights now. Anyway, a link to the story...

god i miss the football italia theme! lol time flys.

Should be good, thought eurosport was ok, but i miss Saturdays Gazzeta from the Football Italia days.

Bravo have got alot of the ex football italia people, so hopefully it will be like the old show. Plus they have got James Richardson, Italian football wouldnt be the same without him presenting it!

Unfortunately, it appears that Juve vs Chievo is the match being aired this sunday on Bravo (http://www.bravo.co.uk/schedule/index.html?offset=2). Guess I'll have to wait till Monday and/or Thursday for the Ascoli match.

Setanta sports 1 will also be showing a saturday game and this sunday setanta sports will be showing the milan game at 5.30pm. Now all I have to do is ring up and find out how much they charge.

NTL customers read this:

Just rang up NTL, they said they have setanta 1 for 12.99
or a package with satanta 1 and 2, Rangers tv and Celtic tv for I think 15.00

For a joke i asked if there was a discount because i already have all the sports channels and he said if i took either setanta or the package he would give me my existing sports channels for free which works out cheaper. Then he even said cuz ur a nice guy he gave me my phone package free for 3 months :5schal:

Seriously though give em a ring and have a try!!

Nope, I suggest you have a look at Bravo as they have resurrected Football Italia that used to be on Channel 4.

I take it everyone knows this by now that Bravo bought out the rights to Calcio off Eurosport. Even better is that they have hired north star tv who used to be Chrysalis to produce the show.

So the old CH4 shows: Gazzetta, Mezzanotte and Football Italia Live are back on with the old team from the 90's only this time on Bravo. Pure bliss... part of me died when CH4 broke that show up, now part of me is born again.
