Christian Vieri continues to be linked with a move to Spain in January, with Real Betis the favourites to sign the forward.
Betis are in the market for a striker following the loss through injury to Ricardo Oliveira and boss Serra Ferrer has identified the Italy striker as his primary target.
Vieri is not enjoying regular first-team action under Carlo Ancelotti and the 32-year-old is desperate to play first-team football in order to enhance his chances of playing in the World Cup this summer.
There is also stiff competition for places with the national side, but it seems that Marcello Lippi is a big fan of the Milan marksman, who was due to start against Holland on Saturday before injury ruled him out of both that match and this Wednesday’s clash with the Ivory Coast.
Bobo would have no trouble settling in Spain having enjoyed a prolific season just before the 1998 World Cup in France.
He bagged 24 goals in as many matches for the Mattress Makers and may view a move to Seville as an opportunity to further impress Lippi.
Milan’s director general Ariedo Braida continues to deny that the former Inter and Lazio striker is set for a move abroad, but it seems that directors of the Andalucian outfit and Vieri’s agents have already been in contact.
