Ribery Chased By Milan And Manchester United

In a recent interview to Foot Transferts, the former Metz and Galatasaray player has talked about his possible move from the south of France.
Tottenham, Bayern and Manchester United have sent recruitors to supervise him: "It is very pleasant to learn that such big teams are watching me. It doesn't let me insensible. I have also heard that Milan have an eye on me". One thing is certain: if this departure happens, Marseille fans would unleash their anger, with another big star leaving prematurely after Drogba. The amount of a possible transfer during the Summer mercato would be around 25 millions of euros.

he is considered to be the next Zizou but you know how it is once a great generation is gone - every other player that stands out a little is the next Platini, Zidane, Maradona, etc.
He is a talanted and relatively young player, 22-23 I think, and is yet to reach his full potential, but 25 mil is as rediculous of a price tag as it gets. Maybe, one day, 3-4 years from now, he would be so good that 25 mil would look like a bargain price, but right now he is just a young talent who could but may also NOT meet all those enormous expectations, so 25 mil for him is just wishful thinking on the side of Marseille. I would say his realistic market value now is somewhere between 10-15 mil but 15 would be pushing it having in mind that a player like Sneijder from Ajax is available for 12 mil.

I'd rather have Sneijder, he's downright awesome.
25 mil for Ribery is crazy talk for a non-established player.

I doubt very much that Utd would go for him, he is very similar in positional style to Rooney but nowhere near as good. In fact he reminds me a lot of Steed Malbranque, tricky and good creatively with a reasonable goal threat of his own, but not quite top class and certainly not worth 25m Euros !
Of the teams linked i think Spurs need him most, all the others already have better players in the role he plays.
this player is the one who was involved in a car crash and his face had to be stitched up or something, right?
Ribery not for sale, say Marseille
MARSEILLE, France, Dec 15 (Reuters) - Talented young French midfielder Franck Ribery is not for sale, Olympique Marseille sports director Jose Anigo said on Thursday.
"Franck can't be transferred, neither during the winter transfer window nor at the end of the season," Anigo told reporters.
"If we want to build a great team in Marseille, we must not sell our best players. We need Franck."
Several European clubs have expressed an interest in the 22-year-old Ribery, who is being hailed as the next Zinedine Zidane.
Pressure is mounting on France coach Raymond Domenech to take the energetic under-21 international to next year's World Cup finals.

I don't understand why people keep comparing him to Zidane? I watched the guy and he's nothing like Zidane IMO. He certainly looks like quite a good prospect, but not worth anything like the money that Marseille want for him, and I think he would be more comfortable in a 4-4-2 formation rather than the way we play. If he came to Milan, the only position he could play is the same as Kaka and I can't see him getting that place!!!
well i can see em on position of seedorf. he and seedorf will need to fight for there place.

You might be right prifess. However even though I've never been totally convinved by Seedorf, I think he has a better defensive game than Ribery, who I could imagine playing much further forward and not really protecting the defence too well. From what I've seen of Ribery, he likes to play almost behind the strikers, which would leave him alongside Kaka, and mean than Pirlo and Gattuso had a lot of work to do.
