RIJKAARD IN MILAN LINK

Milan are considering a move for Barcelona coach Frank Rijkaard, according to Spanish media.

Il Mundo Deportivo reports on Wednesday that the Rossoneri are losing patience with Carlo Ancelotti and could be tempted by the Dutchman.

Since closing the gap on leaders Juventus to two points after a 3-1 win in October, Milan have let their form wain, and currently sit 12 points behind the champions.

But club owner Silvio Berlusconi has insisted there are no intentions to get rid of Ancelotti.

"These rumours are totally without foundation," the Italian prime minister told Rai Uno's "Uno Mattina" programme.

IN BRIEF

Juventus are reportedly targeting Sampdoria winger Aimo Diana..Milan captain Paolo Maldini is eyeing the crucial Champions League clash against Bayern Munich as a possible date for his comeback.

Even if Milan want Rijkaard, Barcelona wont let him go easily as u can see how barcelona were playing now breaking the record under him in charge. By the way i still think that Ancelloti is better that Rijkaard.

rijkaard sucks!!! ... i want a coach who knows that a great squad has to be built around a great defence... rijkaard doesnt believe in a great defence.. barca went out of the CL because of his idiocy... how can attacking be an option when u got around 15 mins to go and a chelsea goal would qualify them?!?!

id take donadoni before him anytime... but ud need a great defence before anything... del neri is my first choice

Del Neri i always thought he is a great coach and i still think, just look at what he did with Chievo.
I justy wonder why he didn't end up coaching some big team, it would be great if we take him or Donadoni he's also a good coach.
About Rijkaard i don't think he'll leave Barcelona when he is doing so great with them, he'll have to be crazy to do that

to me, Donadoni, Van Basten or Tassotti are the only serious options.

Milan are lining up a swoop for Barcelona Coach Frank Rijkaard, according to reports in the Spanish Press.

‘Il Mundo Deportivo’ today claims that the Rossoneri have lost patience with Carlo Ancelotti, who has failed to win a trophy since 2004.

Milan have won all their home games in the League this season, but have disappointed away from home and only narrowly qualified for the knock-out stages of the Champions League.

For a side that closed the gap on Juventus to two points after beating the Bianconeri 3-1 in late October, their form in recent weeks has been inconsistent and with the San Siro outfit now 12 points behind Juve, the critics feel that the buck should stop with Carletto.

However, club owner Silvio Berlusconi – who in the past has expressed admiration for Holland boss and former Milan favourite Marco Van Basten – insisted last night that there was no plan to get rid of his third-placed side’s tactician.

"These rumours are totally without foundation," he told Rai Uno’s ‘UnoMattina’ programme.

Rijkaard is another former Rossoneri star, famed for scoring the only goal in his side’s 1990 Champions League Final win over Benfica, and is now in charge of arguably the best side in Europe.

The Dutchman guided Barça to their first League championship in six years last season, a side who boast the World Footballer of the Year in Ronaldinho and are currently leading the Primera Liga by seven points, having extended their run of straight wins to 17 matches on Sunday.

Well, it's plainly obvious that, until the end of the season, the board will deny any rumours about changinh the coach.
