Now lets talk about fitness/injuries.
Nesta and Maldini look set to miss out, Kaladze is doubtful at the moment but he could be fine by game day. Simic/Costacurta seem set to be the starting CB's with Serginho and Cafu taking both full back positions. Gattuso/Pirlo will be our key to the game, they're the ones which will lead us to the win. Seedorf can be key but I dont know which Seedorf will we see. Kaka I hope plays well and shows everyone "WHO NEEDS SHEVCHENKO?", and Inzaghi will obviously be our main threat. And Gila will be our 11th player on the field.

A win is never something easy that can be taken for granted.

When I said that Roma and Milan are different, thta's one of the things I meant - Roma doesn't have the winning mentality and the big-game experinece Milan players have. You beat Roma not because you were technically better than them but because they got scared in that atmosphere and allowed Red Star fans to affect their play - in such a situation, you could be as good as 10 Ronaldinhos but you won't be ableto show it.

With Milan it would be a very different story as our players have been through ice and fire, through good and bad together. Milan is a team, not just a collection of quality players, and every player has more than enough experince, both domestic and international, not to allow extraneous things like opposition fans to affect their play. That's why, if I were you, I wouldn't be too concerned whether 100,000 red star fans show up or whether the game's being played at closed doors. With Milan, it's only the quality of Red Star as a team on the field that could possibly make a difference, and that's it, everything else is a waste of hopes, as far as I am concerned.

Red Star WILL have their fans as the 12th man. And I'm sure they will be motivated enough to actually try and beat Milan. For the sake of the fans, they better be.

Now, Milan. I know we have a good mental and psychological strength. They've been there before, and I know they can handle the oppositions crowd. But it's the weakness shown in the first leg worried me out. Can the strikers finishes it off (missed chances in San Siro), will the defence get to hold Zigic (he's pesky), will Kaka and Seedorf get to their 'normal' level (they were below par)?

If we can improve on our match fitness (we did look a bit sluggish) and cover the first leg glaring weaknessess, then, we will get some good chances in winning this game. Milan needs to go for the win, not draw. Win is the only available option in Macarena.

The key for us in this match will be getting off to a fast start and not giving up an early goal. If Red Star score in the first 15 minutes they will have the momentum and could easily score again. However if we score in the first 15 minutes I can't see Red Star getting 3 goals back.

Ok, after all these correct score predictions, maybe we should concentrate on Red Star team and look at where should Milan players expect the danger to come from.

Many of these guys from Red Star made a fantastic match on Wednesday, when Serbia has beaten the Czech Republic (Nedved's last match for the Czechs, and our Janku also played), 1:3 away from home.

Zigic, who's very close to transfer in Juventus, couldn't have done anything alone in attack at San Siro, but now he'll be much more dangerous, because Red Star will not only defend, but attack a lot more. Lets not be fooled by their play in Milano, because all these guys are great with the ball, and they'll make many crosses to Nikola Zigic, who'll be a real threat with his 202 cm.

Nenad Kovacevic, who also had very good game in Czech Rep. , is the most in form player and is the main supplier for the attackers. He should be well guarded if Milan wants to take control of the midfield.

Bulgarian Georgiev is in good form, and youngster Jankovic together with national team player Basta will form the midfield.
I know these names mean nothing to most of us here, but you should know most of them are fantastic prospects who won the second place in youth European championship 2 years ago (they lost the final from Italy, and Gilardino scored twice on that match :)), and entered the semifinals of the same competition this year, when they were eliminated on penalties.

Bisevac in difence is another one from that Serbian youth team who now plays for the seniors and was a starter in the match against Czech republic, where he made a huge mistake when the Czechs scored, but played great and stopped the Czech attacker Jan Koller afterwards.

Goalkeeper Randjelovic is in form of his life, and he did show that in the first leg match.

Don't get me wrong. Milan is superior on every position, but the Serbians mustn't be underestimated because all of them now how to play football, and will play in some top team one day. They are very young and not so experienced, but the quality is there and i think they will be a big threat in Belgrade.

When all of you gave your correct score prediction, then so will i :)
1:1 or 2:1 win for Milan is my guess, but Milan will have to be focused and shouldn't underrate Red Star.

Coach Carlo Ancelotti has called 22 players for the Preliminary Round tie against Red Star at the Marakana Stadium.


Daniele Bonera (pictured) could make his official debut after missing the first leg due to a ban left over from his time with Parma.

Yeah, if Shanghai is on PPLive at that moment, there shouldn't be a problem.
Just in case, however, I have all PPLive, PPStream, TVAnts, and SopCast installed.
You could try downloading the .exe files from their official websites.
Or just go to www.asiaplate.com - you need to register first (very simple and fast) - and there you will find DL links for pretty much all P2P programs like PPStream, PPlive, SOpcast, etc, etc. There is a nice list of all upcoming games for the day, on what channel and on what P2P program they will be shown, and there are links too.
As long as you have the installed that particular program (PPLive, etc), just click on the link and - unless there is some problem - the game should start loading.

Shanghai Sports on Sopcast is the channel titled "GSports" or something like that - channel # is 6001 (right now it's showing a replay of an EPL game, Shef. Wed. - Liverpool, I think).

Also, you can just go back to www.asiaplate.com and there, next to every game for the day, you will see links for a given channel depending on what program it is on. Just click the link for "Shanghai Sports" on "SopCast" (they show the sopcast emblem) and you are on.

My advice is that you install TVAnts and PPStream as well. having these 3 and you'll be pretty much covered for every game you might ever wanna watch.

Also, take a look at Vadim's link for Shanghai on PPstream. It's a direct link, so as long as you have PPStream installed, it will start loading the game immediately.

i think it's probably the speed, usually PPStream might buffer a couple of times in the beginning but once the stream becomes stable, it buffers very rarely.
However, there is one other thing to keep in mind. I believe the stream quality on these P2P programs also depends, a lot, on the number of users who are simmultaneously connected to that particular stream - very much like DLing torrents, if you know what I mean, because the principle is more or less the same.
So, I would expect to see some improvement when the game is on as many more viewrs will connect to the stream too.

actually, many of those, who use PPStream on a regular basis should and do care about Simplified Chinese cause otherwise it's hard finding yourself a channel, you know :ilol:
I usually use Google Language tools trying to get around the language barrier but it's not always very helpful.

Since the ball is for cafu instead of inzaghi, how can it be offside since inzaghi is not influencing play? The ball from Gattuso was deflected off a Red Star player so no offside to talk about. Ask those who argue otherwise to read the rulesbook.

no, the rule is still there, I think that you simply misread it or something ... this rule has been discussed many times exactly because it is not very clear i.e. left up to the ref's judgement to decide when a player is involved and when he isn't involved in the play.
The way you stated the rule is how things used to be maybe 10 years and more ago but the "no interference, no offside" rule has been around for quite some time now.
