So it's now official, they will be back next season.

IMO, is better to have our rivals than not...

Now the question is how much they can do during the transfer season to get up to standard and compete for the scudetto.

P.S. Congrats to Tony29

Hey Doc, you support a different team every time I see you posting... what's up with that?

Tony29.

For me Juve will not be back in serie A until we play our next serie A match.
Also, SANT made a mistake ( i guess he thought there are 38 rounds in serie B , or he got wrong info) and Juve still isn't officialy in serie A

There are 5 more matches to be played in serie B , and Juve has 8 pts lead in front of 3rd place Napoli ( first and second place go directly to A while 3-6 place will need play-offs to decide which teams's gonna join the other 2 in A).

So, for Juve to be officially in serie A they need 7 more points from the last 5 matches ( or less than 7 points in case Napoli won't win the remaining 5 matches).

Thanx for the kind words anyway :)

Tony, what if Juve suddenly have a shocking run of form and lose in the play-offs?

Am i the only one (apart from tony) who can see that Juventus aren't 'officially' back yet? Their return is 95% certain, but nothing is guaranteed just yet.

because of points or more scandel? (Sorry I don't follow Serie B)

For points , but we can never exclude something unexpected to happen during the summer :)

1. Juventus 76
2. Genoa 70
3. Napoli 68
4. Rimini 60
5. Mantova 60
6. Bologna 58
7. Piacenza 57
8. Brescia 55
------------

This is how serie B looks at the moment, after 37 rounds. The winner and runner-up of serie B go directly to serie A while 3rd-6th place will play play-offs and only one of them will go to A.
There are 5 more rounds to be played and 15 more points to be taken.
Since Juve's advantage over 3rd placed Napoli is 8 points, then there are still small chances Juve to not to win the league, not to be 2nd place and to find themselves in a position to play play-offs.

Not very likely, but it's still possibile and like Jim said : Juve still isn't officially promoted.
Without -9pts punishment Juve would have been officialy promoted, but with the punishment they still aren't officially in serie A.

No, I know technically they aren't back, but in my opinion the rest of the season should be a formality (God willing).

Whatever, Juve is always Juve and Im sure they will not have any problems coming back to serie a. But then Im sure they will not have any big chance of winning the scudetto as they really lack some quality players in the middle of defence and in the middle of the field. Still, mercato will soon be off and Moggi is not in jail so....

Juve will almost certainly be back in Europe in 08-09, so why is Buffon allegedly so jumpy and seemingly ready to leave?

Someone correct me if I am wrong, but if Napoli goes 10 points clear of the 4th place team then there will be no play-off but the first 3 will qualify to Serie A directly.

It would be great to get 3 clubs full of history back to Serie A.

Only 17 days late with my reply :)

Yes, if Napoli has 10 points more than 4th placed team then there will be no play off and Napoli will go directly to A.
at the moment Napoli has 11 points more than 4th placed Piacenza with 2 more rounds to go

I know,
but if i'm not wrong ( and i believe i'm not) teams can't be relegated, have points deducted or scudetto taken away for a wrongdoing that took place more than 2 years ago. Only individuals like Moggi or anyone else can be punished.

So, if M.M has nothing on Juve, Milan, Fiorentina, Lazio etc for last 2 seasons, then he can give his time machine to charity, because it's useless.
Lets hope we didn't do anything wrong in 2005/06 and 2006/07 :)

Edit : And even if there was any wrongdoing from Juve in 2005/06 then Juve can easily get away with it because this new managment has nothing to do with Moggi and Co.

if it were that easy, then Juve could have just change the management overnight last year and get away with eveything ;)

No, no, it really could/will help this time.
You know i'm into calciopoli a lot and i was reading a lot about this pariticular scenario.
Juve already has scudetto taken from that season, they were already relegated from A and had points deducted that season (eventhough there was no wrongdoing that particular season, 2005/06).
The change of the managment was useless last summer but since Juve was already sentenced for the wrongdoing of the previous managment it's (although legally possibile) very hard to be sentenced again for the wrongdoing of the people who left Juve 1 year ago. Even if that wrongdoing was in 2005/06.
Juve can only get....hmmmm....what's the english term..... probation ???.

But i don't think anyone will try to open Calciopoli again with things that happened in 2005/06 ( if anything fishy was happening at all). They achieved what they wanted to achieve and i doubt we'll have something as big as Calciopoli again.

P.S : Although, i hear Massimo M. is digging deep to find something against Milan. Some banners made him nervous :)

Interesting, I heard the same thing ... and there was even more to it - 3/4 of the CL title Milan won this year will go to Inter, the "honest" 3/4ths that is, while the rest will go to Juve as the only other Italian team to have won the CL competition :D
