here's the link, i created a group called Milanmania :) The password for the group is "stitch", without quotes.
I hope you all know how these fantasy games work. The game is in italian, but you can easily understand what's importarnt, even if you speak english only. I know only a few italian words, like calcio, pizza, spaghetti, ciao, :grinser: but still can play the game :)

you have 100 points at the beginning, and must buy a team of 1 GK, 3DF, 5MF, 2FW
the players are real calcio-players, everyone has a price, for example kaka costs 22pts, but some other lower profile MF costs a lot less.
Your team gets points based on real-life performances of your players. During the season, you can buy and sell players, but the prices of players vary based on their performance.

... then take your time and 'buy' players like stitch said - for every round of play players get rated with points (example, 5 points for attacker to score, 6 for midfielder, 7 for defender, 5 point for goalie cleansheet, 2 point for every defender that didnt receive goal in a match, -2 points for red card received etc. - based on real games that were played). The goal is normally, get as much points as you can. You can sell/buy teamplayers in future and the players 'value' will be based on their point-performances.

I can see only my team but i can't see your teams. I guess it's the same for everybody. We can't see what teams the others have (maybe it's a precaution for the last rounds in case two people are fighting for the first place and the leader can not chose the same team as the second placed competitor ?!)

Dida is playing for Milan and he'll be getting points based on Milan's performances. He gets points for every win, every clean sheet etc.
Buffon is in Juve and it is expected Juve to win less points than Milan, Juve to concede many more goals than Milan (Juve's defense is much weaker than Milan's def.) and that's why it is expected Buffon to win less points than Dida. That's why Buffon is much cheaper than Dida.

I know but Buffon was much cheaper than Cesar and Dida and i wanted to have two attackers who are expected to score a lot at the expense of Dida or Cesar.
Btw, Peters, we can change the team for every round, right ? Of course, players value will change and we'll still be able to spend not more than 100 credits, but we can change players for every round ?

i think it is like you said, but there may be some limitations about the number you can sell/buy each week. As i see the rules this one is much more simple than fantasy CL. Dont know for real, we'll need to find it out ourselves.

i know...it just ive been playing fantasy NFL and NHL for years now, and know all the players, who injured, who's a good deal.
i've only been following seria A for about 4 years and barely know star players on the minnows, let alone squad players...
...but thats why im in...

buffon really is the best choice for this round... and since there is almost no penalty in selling/buying half the squad each round its a smart choice (just to correct myself from earlier buffon statement)
stitch is this restricted to MM members, i know someone else that would like to play.

Isnt there any rule that allow you only make certain number of transfer in each gameweek?
I dont know, by other website, the user can only make one transfer every gameweek (round) and if they want to make more than one, their points will be reduced certain points for 1 transfer.

My finally submitted team was

Tony's advises helped me (sorry but i make the changes the last minute) but even i didn't hear him about Pandev and Buffon who couldn't stop the goal in 94`.
I am now third, but the most games are tommorrow, so good luck to everyone and i am very happy that we ahve the Milan Mania group so we can talk about manager...

It was a nice first step (ok, it was ok for me that i started good) but even more the company, by sure they must join more in this thread :5ok: .
Just had a very ... educating experience. Went to Fantasy to substitute player that won't get any action(Cassano;Camoranesi) and maybe some others too. Really picked a timing for this LOL. So I went there and sold these 2 players and after I sold the second one there came up a message on the screen that all(in the whole system) transfers are completed now. So I couldn't buy anybody to make up the sold ones. And when I went to "My Team" another good news popped up - "You must have 11 players selected inorder to qualify the round!". So learn from this guys.
Another one i had Trez, i sold him to try to find something else and when i went to get him back i couldn't because when although his price was 19 after the first game, i had 16 when i got to take him back.

What's more funny is how Camo got 3 assists. And the planned purchase Miccoli got 2 goals. Though I probably wouldn't have had them both in my line up. Though about changing Camo with Aquilani but he would've been to expensive.

The truth is that you told before the first gane to not take Pandev so i choose Miccoli. The bad luck for me was with Trez who i didn't know that i had to rebought him in its first price otherwise i will have had also his goal Tony29. I bought Quatarela who was a disaster, although i have the idea of taking Mutu, however the good choise for me was that i changed Gamberini with Cassetti because i believed that Roma will not be beaten in defence :5ok: . So i was expected that week to be a disaster but it was very good. For Tony29 isn't true what he said but he helped me by giving me advices about cards and by explaining me this matter with price of Trez.
I always take into consideration the others mind i put it down and i conclude to what seems more desirable for me.

That's only for round 3. It always locks down on saterday at 12:00 pm cest. But not this saterday, because it's international football and no serie A games will be played.

No one knows for sure who will start. We all depend on Gazzetta's probable line-up.

lol iv not changed my team since week one! tottaly forgot about it haha well maybe one change but thats it!
After week 2 that i took the leadership i didn't make the appropriate moves and i had awful perfomances, the last week i improove my perfomance but not a lot to be very competitive for my major rivals. My observing the points Icculus has great perfomances every week.

unfortunately in the last cl game, i had a couple players out, played ambro over pirlo (where ambro missed two great oppertunities & pirlo burried the free kick.)
there has been a couple guys i thought would of been good pick-ups, but i just cant stand them...ie cassano & trezafag (sorry t29).
Ok, this team will kick ass. I have a very weak defence, a goalkeeper that will never get playing time, but i have Kaka, Ibra and Trez in the same team.
Not to mention Giovinco, who scored his debut goal and will now show who's gonna be the boss in Italy for the next 10 years :tong:

I think i finally realized how to be succesful in this game.
For GK position you chose the GK that you think will keep a clean sheet in that round.
Usually, goalkeepers whose teams played at home against Reggina and Empoli, or Buffon when Juve played at home, were the ones that brought most points.
For the defense you again chose defenders from teams you think will keep clean sheet. Juve's defenders when Juve played at home or Inter's defenders wherever Inter played brought most points.
Midfield and attack is mostly luck but a striker that scores a lot and midfielder that makes many assists or takes many shots on target bring a lot of points.
I hope you'll be more active in the second part and few more competitors will join the game.

Yes, that's a problem.
I joined with +1000 points in another group but my previous points didn't count in that group and i had to start from zero there.
No harm being here hitman. We can "fight" for the week winner prize :)
I hope i will do as well as i did last time, when i said to stop talking after winning the previous week i was sure that everybody understand that i was jokking...

icculus got two points this week (or was it the week before?), i really couldnt stop laughing when i saw it... like 3 of his players got -4 or something haha
unfortunately, i have updated my roster in weeks...i have had a bunch of guys not even playing.
i barely have time to even visit here.
