What groups England in?

;)

Whenever England underperform (which is every tournament  ) i switch to Italy. I have a smidgin of Italian blood through my gran too and nothing in common with any of the other sides so theres not much of a choice to make.

TBH I was gutted to see no countries from the British Islands qualify. Especially that England are not there.

I chose Portugal.

Italy :proud: To win a WC is like to win 5 CL all together. It's an orgasm going forward for years..no stop :dcool: :w221:
If Italy gets kicked out i will chose on the moment inspiration. Portugal would deserve a win, after waiting for so long.

By the looks of it, most people wether they be Italian or not, believe Italy will win, and Dont push that away, because we got great talent in Buffon, Pirlo, zambrotta, gattusso, cannavaro, luca Toni etc.. with the win against the Scots we proved we are worthy to continue as champoions and go for the Euro!

Not sure Italy will win, but I expect Italy to be in at least semi-final (after that, it's all a bit of luck, but wouldn't it be nice to have Italy vs. France again :D)?

Forza Italia per sempre! I actually care more about the Azzurri than Milan.

I am also thrilled England did not make it. Now if only France would have stayed home as well...

Definitely Italy, :5schal:Croatia & Russia

Its a shame that England failed to qualify :rollani: , other wise I would have supported the best players of the world like Rooney, Gerrard, Rio, G.Neville, A.Cole, Crouch, Hargreeves, Carrick, Robinson, Scott Carson etc etc

Croatia plays two of 3 group games in Klagenfurt, and that is 2 hours from Croatian capital Zagreb. Its going top be crazy in there!

Once again our fans will be the best ones in the competition, like in Germany :)

So the matches I will probably try to see live ( if I dont get the ticjkets it doesnt matter I'll still go to party with our fans ) are Poland and Germany.

Cant wait, it will be great.

And the team I support is of course Azzuri as long as my country cant win it anymore.

Italy ofcourse, Especially they have Milan's Midfield, tho i would like to see De Rossi more than Ambro and/or Gattuso :D

Ambrosini is a player that we can use in matches that we can take a bit easier, because hes not tough, and controls midfield or defence, While Gattusso is better for matches with stronger teams, example France, because hes tougher, he will help the ball stay beyond his side of the field, he can really make his presence felt, techinically speaking, he would be the better choice for Italy to play in Midfield.

_Ace

true... but still, De Rossi would be a better choice vs all teams ;)

Italy of course.. they have all Milan mid minus Seedorf..
but not an easy way since we have to pass Dutch,Romania, and of course France.. indeed.. it is very tough group.

I am supporting Russia of course...Well I think I ll support Italy as second favorite as well. Вперед Россия!

Becoz some how I feel that Igor Akinfeev would be the next legend of AC Milan

I dont think that Igor Akinfeev is going to be on the goal. It is not 100% guaranteed as Malafeev is in the great shape now. Zenit managed to win UEFA Cup and Russian championship, so my preference would definitely be Malafeev. However I dont know what Guus Hiddink thinks about it. He took 5 players from Zenit though...:)

By the way will Nesta & Totti come out of retirment & play in Euro 2008?
They must come back, if a coward like Henrik Larson at a pathetic age of 36 is making a come back for the 3rd time, then why not legends like Nesta & Totti. & to be honest I think if Italy needs any one to win this Euro 2008, those 2 players are Nesta & Totti. I can't see any one playing at the highest level just behind Toni but Totti. & in defense I don't think Cannavaro is the same of 2 years back, so Nesta is must :)

--------------------Buffon---------------------

---Zambrotta---Nesta---Cannavaro---Grossso--

--Camronesi---Gattuso-----Pirlo----Perrotta-----

----------Totti------------Toni/Inzaghi----------

My Choice :bri:

Italy of course. they would have Milan's midfielders minus Seedorf there. but if i should pick the second one let it be Holland as they will have MvB there as a coach and i love the way they are playing (dunno if Seedorf will takes a part of it or not. last time i read that he refused to be in Holland squad) and if i should pick the third then let it be Czech Republic. keeping my fingers crossed. FORZA ITALY

I support Italy with the Netherlands to follow allthough I have an ambiguous relationship with them.

either Italy will win the championship or they will fail to qualify from the groups stage.
Italy tends to start poorely and I don't think they can afford any mistakes.

this is Italy's provisional Euro 2008 squad:

GK: Buffon, Amelia, De Sanctis

defenders: Panucci, Cannavaro, Materazzi, Zambrotta, Barzagli, Chiellini, Grosso

mids: Camoranesi, Pirlo, Gattuso, Ambrosini, De Rossi, Perrotta, Aquilani, Montolivo

strikers: Toni, Di Natale, Quagliarella, Del Piero, Borriello, Cassano

one of them will be dropped before May 28th 2008 because it's provisional squad. hope Materazzi will be out otherwise he will let Italy pays for his mistakes :rollani: the squad is good and i'm really hoping that Toni will continue his good performances with Bayern at Euro 2008 with Italy. and my dream comes true when i saw Aquilani is on the called up players list. man is awesome. but apparently it's true that Pippo isn't called for Euro 2008. he had good performances with Milan after hes back from injury, so i kinda dissapointed like Pippo. this is his declaration taken from acmilan.com:

EURO 2008: THE DISAPPOINTMENT OF PIPPO INZAGHI
5/20/2008 5:58:00 PM
Filippo Inzaghi on the choices of Roberto Donadoni: "I thought I had shown loyalty and cohesion with the project and in our relationship. Instead I only earned silence. Too bad. My best wishes to my team mates!"
Here's Filippo Inzaghi's comment about not being called up for Euro 2008 by coach Roberto Donadoni: "I am disappointed especially from the human point of view. I had started this two-year period with a positive and frank relationship with the coach, also scoring in Naples against Lithuania the first goal of the qualifying campaign. But since in football goals are not all that matters, I thought I had also shown loyalty and cohesion with the project and the relationship with the coach, both in participating to away games without coming on the pitch, both in answering affermatively to a call up for the match against the Faroe Islands last summer in a qualification game that was worth three points like all the others. Then, the silence, despite my performances with Milan in every continent and my 18 goals scored between the winter through to April and May. Evidently an injury during my club season was enough not to even deserve a phone call, to cancel what I thought was an adult and mature relationship. I'm disappointed I was wrong, many sincere best wishes to the Azzurri for the Euros."

Its a good thing pipo can rest and focus on next year.
Maybe he can last a complete season without a serious injury.
I'm pretty sure if Maldini would have stayed an Azurri player he would have left the game years ago... (fysicly and mentally).

Netherlands and Austria (previously adopted homeland for all you wondering!) I have very fond memories of standing on a crap terrace in salzburg's old stadium in december with about 2000 others, when they were sv casino and then sv wustenrot- bitching about rene aufhauser and his 40 yard blasts over the goal, cursing him as a player who'll never be anything. And cue place on national team!

The reason is simple, there are numbers of Milan players in the italian squad, just the same as when Italia won the 2006 World Cup.
