Tonight, (19.30 italian h), Italy will start its campaign in the Euro competition.
This is a good chance to watch some good youngsters play, especially Paloschi, Bruscagin and Darmian.
I will watch it on Eurosport.
Grecia (4-2-3-1): Babaniotis; Barboudis, K. Papadopulos, Kyrgias, Galanis; Gentzoglou, I. Papadopulos; Ninis, Argyropulos, Matsoukas; Pavlis. All. Alexiou
Italia (4-2-3-1): Fiorillo; Bruscagnin, Darmian, Gentili, Tagliani; Poli, Bonaventura; Mazzarani, Forestieri, Paloschi; Zamblera. All. Rocca
isnt Paloschi supposed to be a striker ?
yea anyway, i'm not going to watch the match, so if you can post some comments about the performances(after the match) it'll be nice from you Gio :D

Yeah I heard. Italy surely came alive for this match knowing it was a must win...
And luckily I found it on ESPN DP here... keep in mind Italy scored that 4th after being knocked down a man to ten... before all the action really heated up in the 2nd half.
And no matter how many England scores, they can't progress... Italy surely is going to.
Edit: Argh, Italy... hold off the Czechs... they scored... 4-3 right now... scoring 4 against the hosts and winning was never gonna be easy.
Edit 2: And Italy is through... they win 4-3... tense finish there...

Good game i must say, but i didn't like the Darmians preformance, Italy conceded two goals from his mistake, seconde and third, he was captain but his anticipation was afwul. I realy hope that next game he will play better than this one.
Whole in whole, good game lot of goals and Italy goes through.

Yeah his performance were not up to par... I'll say different about Paloschi (who I think deserved more than just one goal) and Poli... they were great... Darmian should be given more time to play domestically... but I really hope he does work on it.
The second and third goals were because Italy did not respond fast enough to defend. Either way, the Czechs were not going to be easy to defeat in their own soil.
The way the UEFA site lists the Italy lineup...Darmian looks like he played RB. Is this so or did he play CB? If he did play RB then it may have affected his performance as he usually plays CB for the Primavera.
he played the right side of the CB couple... the position Nesta always plays for Milan...

Bonaventura had a great second half too...

Also our most promising young defender played in that game. Michelangelo Albertazzi. he played as LB, but I wasnt too impressed by him. also not by darmian and bruscagin. BTW didnt Bruscagin left Milan?
Paloschi had an overall quiet game, but he still managed to give a wonderfull assist, convert a penalty wich he has won himself. He also had a nice shot at goal, he controlled the ball out of the air, turned and volleyed at goal, goalkeeper saved. But a few moments later he shouldve scored a one on one against the goalkeeper.

I have no problem with Germany winning U19 trophies as long as Italy keeps winning the WC. :gonova:
