Italy x Honduras is the opener I think of this soccer tournament and it should start at 4:30 AM Eastern time on Thursday 7th of August. (The game should start at around 5:00 though). Pato and R80 will also play for Brazil at 5:00 on the same day.
Apparently NBC are having a new channel called NBC soccer channel specifically for the Olympics. Italy x Honduras should be broadcasted live.

ronaldinho and pato not so impressive so far, pato had a couple of nice touches and moved nicely but he also hesitated and lost the ball when he was in good position. brazil 0-0 belgium.
italy 2-0 honduras.
GOLACAO GIOVINCO. Scored a great goal that reminds me of Roberto Baggio of World Cup '94. Second goal was a penalty by Milanista G.Rossi. Just saw the highlights of first half, Italy played some GREAT football!

Italy are playing so nice football, I havent seen that in a while! Sebastian Giovinco scored a great, great goal and is definitely the next big thing in Italy. Viviano (we have been linked with several times) is doing absolutely fantastic as the goal keeper of Italy. Giuseppe Rossi was good too but Ignazio Abate seems to be getting owned badly by their LB.
Brazil are doing ok. They definitely did not put in a great performance but did just enough for the win. In the second half Ronaldinho performed really well and showed alot of dribbling (and speed too!). Pato on the other hand was bad so he was subbed off for Thiago Neves who is doing pretty well. However I have to give a mention to Hernanes, who scored a wonderful goal after such a great performance. He is someone who would definitely be of use to Milan!
Oh well missed the game.

First half of Brazil was not good, second half was a bit better but they really got some help of the ref. The second yellow card for Kompany is dicussionable but the second yellow card for Fellaini was a complete joke. Rafina should get suspended for that. While Belgian players got booked for breathing Brazil got away with murder, Ronaldhino didn't got booked for a vicious tackle on Dembele's knee. I don't agree that Ronaldhino played very well, he didn't run or dribbel that much or that good. I completely agree that Pato didn't play well.
This game leaves me as a Belgian supporter with a nasty feeling. Brazil was far from good and will have to play a lot better if they want to win their first olympic gold for soccer.
I hope people saw Cigarini play against Honduras and understand why so many of us were asking for him...especially as he was so cheap. Decent performance by the Italians although the fullbacks were below their usual standard. Abate didn't do too much when he came on but he didn't have much time either. Can't wait for the second match...FORZA ITALIA

first 20 minutes, and pato assists anderson for the goal. pato is playing wonderful so far! ronaldinho not spectacular but ok.

guys pato is playing amazing!!
ronaldinho has the ball in midfield and then sends a beautiful ball over the defence and releases marcelo (who is pretty awesome) on the left side and crosses it for Pato to score a WONDERFUL header!!
Pato is playing like a leader..he is distributing the play, fighting for every ball... PAAAAAATOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!! :love:

WOOOOW the scored a third goal but it was ruled offside.. some fantastic footwork by R80, i think after what he just did I can safely say RONALDINHO IS BACK!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Breno (the CB) is a very classy defender, much better than Alex Silva. Rafinha is also playing well at RB.

game is almost over. I must say Ronaldinho has impressed me so much, he is almost back to his best. He had it all..as soon as he found confidence, all the flicks and tricks and long passes and everything was there. Great performance. I also see Ronaldinho and Pato linking up very well.
I am also very impressed with Marcelo. He is toying around with them!
Brasiliero walked about Marcelo when he was playing back in Brasil, andsaid that he is a brillianttalent. I have to say that Marcello has impressed me in all football ways.
Havent seen the game today, so if you guys have some goals I would be gratefull.

mrki, no prob mate, any time, and btw it is very easy to find streams.
The highlights don't say it all. Ronaldinho startd slow but then he played well, almost like his CL-winning season. Pato was also great, but the prob with Pato is he is very inconsistent (even in Milan). One game he is a great, the next he is a Gilardino. I hope he learns better.
Is there any chance we could snatch Marcelo from Real? I think he signed a 6 year deal with them three years ago. We should keep an eye on him.
Anyone see the Italy game? I didnt, I'd like to know how they played.
Now I've also seen Brazil game. And I have to say that, in my wiew, Ronaldinho is still not fit. He looks a bit more lively then against Belguim and his game went up, but he still lacks the spark. Dinho will need time, maybe months to play like he did with Barcelona. He also needs to loose 2-3kg. But the fact is that Dinho played so well becouse of Marcelo who runned like hell and played brilliant game. We have Marek there, or super Favalinho.
Pato - he has the "nose for the goal" as people say in here. But still plays like a boy. PATO IS A BOY, HE IS 18 :) And we cant put all the pressure on him. For us its good to hear Pippo will 99% be fit for the round 1. Pato will still be inconsistent and with the lack of constant concentration, as it is always the case with young players.
Rafinha - great player.

to me, Italy played well; Korea hit the bar with an header in the 2 half, it has been the only one problem we faced, we controlled the game, attacking Korea all the match in the way we like because they have permitted it
3 goal, beautiful scores. The second goal came out from a good Maggio descent on the right and a cross behind, around the penalty spot where Rocchi hits the ball with his right foot. The last goal was the rsult of another descent on the right side by Acquafresca who crossed to the center just out the box. Montolivo first intention shoot finish on the wood, but he is ready to tap the ball in

Yep I agree even China won't be a real test for Brazil, these games are good for him to gain matchrithm and some confidence but I'm affraid that's it. Let's wait untill the next round and even still we shouldn't forget he is playing young guns, I agree the best of the world but still young, unexperienced players who consider it to be an honour to play against the great Ronaldhino. If he coudn't 'toy' with these defenders then we should be very, very worried.

Pato also had 2/3 1v1 chances but he also missed them :S

Pato missed 2 and Ronaldinho 1 clear opportunities, but whole in whole good performances buy both of them, Brasil lead 1 - 0, now i want Pato to score in second half.
They'll do it in the second half. But the fact that Dinho is not running worris me. Pato is a boy, he will miss much in the next year or two.

Or perhaps Carletto warns him not to play too vigorously as we only have one fit striker

gino che vero... but still the Azzuri missed chances like Giovinco..and Viviano the cazzo got a stupid red card after letting the ball slip underneath him. Italy still got 2 penalties (but there was 1 other penalty and the Belgium's goal did not pass the line).

Brazil has lost the control of the nerves, simply. I think it has been a right decision, nothing to say about referee. It's Dunga who has to explain this unexpected disaster
Heres an explanation; Diego and Ronoldinho just didnt step up whereas Riquelme, messi, and Di maria did.
Dunga obviously has to take blame, but the stars of argnetina outshone the Brazilians.
Argentina deserved to win this match. Dinho was played much deeper in the midfield sector, too far apart from Sobis.
