A tribute to Roberto Donadoni
what a great player! one of the best wingers of the last 20 years, his game was simply awesome, his crosses amazing material for that heading stunner of van basten
his pace and technical abilities on the left flank are highly missed and even though serginho has been a great player for us in the last years, roberto is a piece of my heart i was at his last game in san siro, btw if i remember well afterwards he decided to stay anyway i was among the guys who sang DONADONI EHEHHE DONADONI OHOHOHOH DONADONI EHEHEH PER SEMPRE ROSSONER He stared at the crowd and thought it was simply too good to be already left behind his back and become past I think it was 1997 but correct me if i'm wrong One of the Invincibles, one of the Immortals of our hystory, a true gentleman who'll stay always in my best players of Milan history

Ye I remember. His last match was Milan-Cremonese 7-1 in the season 1995-96. Then he went to Metro Stars and returned in the middle of the season 1997-98. He was also part of the squad which won the scudetto with Zaccheroni in 1998-99, even though he played few games. His official farewell to football was in August 1999, when the squad for the season 1999-2000 was presented at the San Siro.

best comment i remember while watching milan vs sampdoria. martin tyler was the commentator.
Donadoni and Mancini(current inter coach) going for a 50-50 ball. Donadoni totally dummies mancini and sprints away with the ball. Martin Tyler goes "Donadoni simply too good for Mancini" ![]() |

The best Italian player of the last 30 years along with Baggio.

Imo the best Italian player who played for Milan in Berlusconi era (except Baresi and Maldini).

We just changed the tactics so we didn't have to replace him. Our last real right winger.

i think he was more a left winger but such great player actually could play successfully on both flanks, due to his superior technical skills

Nevertheless, the telepathic understanding between Tassotti and Donadoni is legendary. A bit like what we've seen the last year and a half between Cafu and Kaka'.
