Beckham writes Milan heartfelt letter

David Beckham has written a heartfelt message to his Milan teammates wishing them luck in the coming months.

The 34-year-old suffered a snapped Achiles tendon last weekend and will be out for the remainder of the season, bringing his second loan spell at the club to a premature end.

He flew to Finland earlier this week for an operation and his surgeon confirmed that the England international would unfortunately miss the World Cup.

Milan boss Leonardo received a message from the former Manchester United and Real Madrid star this morning and he chose to read it out at training today.

“To the Coach and to all my friends, I want to wish you good luck for the rest of the season and I hope you bring home the title.

“I would also like to thank all of you for the support and the affection that you all showed after the game against Chievo.

“You really moved me and I know that I have true friends at the club.

“I hope to play with you again and be a part of this wonderful team. Once again thanks for your affection and good luck.

“Ciao, David.”
