Hi guys, I'm from Brazil and this is my first post in these boards, I'll talk a bit about a few talents I've seen from Brazil and what I know about them.

The goalkeepers:

Diego Cavalieri) 1,93m - Diego is a professional player since 2002, he was born in 1982 and is now 26 years old, hardly a youngster. However, it was only in the last two seasons that he got to shine. Diego was the 2nd choice goalkeeper for Palmeiras - 1st choice was the legendary Marcos - and he only got to play a good sequence of games after the ex-brazilian national suffered an injury. He was arguably the best goalkeeper in the brazilian league in 2007, along with Rogenio Ceni from Sao Paulo, and statiscally had the biggest number of difficult saves. Now that Marcos is back from injury Palmeiras has one good keeper too many, and they're loaning Diego to Fluminense so he can boost his price tag in the Copa Libertadores and go to Italy in the summer transfer market. He is an italo-brazilian, has an EU passport and has been linked to Milan before, right now the rumours in Brazil are that he's either going to Milan or to Lazio.

Diego Alves) 1,85m - Diego Alves was born in 1965 and is now 22 years old. He only got to play a few games for Atlético Mineiro (which is the main rival of the brazilian team I cheer for, Cruzeiro) but he is idolized by their supporters. He is the first brazilian goalkeeper to play in the Spanish Primera, for the small Almeria, and he already has the record for the most time without conceding a goal this season, beating Real Madrid's Iker Casillas. He may be chosen to play the olympic games for the brazilian national team.

Felipe) 1,91m - Born in 1984 and 24 years old, Felipe was Corinthians' hero in the 2007 campaign that got the team relegated. It sounds strange, but it was only because of him that the team actually had hopes of not being relegated by the end of the season. He played for the u17 brazilian national team before and won the South American football championship in 2001.

It looks like Barcelona have started investing heavily in their youth system. Here is an overview of the "potential" world beaters they have in their inventory:

And we all know about the likes of Messi, Bojan Krkic and Giovani dos Santos anyway...

If they get to keep them all for the next 5 years, I can see them having some immense firepower

Alex Silva) Alongside Breno - the 18yo youngster signed to Bayern München for $18m - Alex was the main responsible for the defense that took the least goals in the 2007 brazilian league season, taking Sao Paulo to a title winning campaign. Alex is 22 years old, he is the younger brother of Luisão of Benfica, and his contract with Sao Paulo expires in june. He suffered a knee injury in september and is expected to come back for the Copa Libertadores knock-out rounds. Alex has 2 national team caps and is not only a good prospect, but also one of the best brazilian central defenders in activity, probably right below Juan, Lucio and Chelsea's Alex in the pecking order. And most important of all:

dont know if you were being sarcastic but 193cm is around 6ft 3in
rafinha is a good brazilian right-back who plays for schalke in germany dives too much though.

cigarini would be a great addition to our squad he provide pirlo with competition and eventually become his heir.

christian zapata will become a great defender imo hes fast(something we lack), good in the air we should try for him in the summer.
