2010-2011 Fixtures

http://www.football-italia.net/jul28q.html

The 2010-11 Serie A and B fixtures will be drawn up this evening with new limits, including no midweek derbies.

This will be the first campaign since the Lega Calcio split so that Serie A and B are separate entities.

The calendar for the 2010-11 season will be drawn up in Milan’s Palazzo Mezzanotte starting from 19.30 UK time.

There are some limitations, for example on the number of games played consecutively at home and away.

The last four rounds will be “perfectly alternated” between home and away fixtures.

There will be no ‘seeds,’ so in theory two big clubs like Milan and Inter could face off in the opening round – a change to the usual Serie A process.

Evening midweek rounds will bar the head-to-heads featuring these teams: Inter, Juventus, Milan, Napoli, Roma or local derbies in Genoa, Milan and Rome.

There are to be no repetitions (same game on the same round) as the 2009-10 calendar, nor can sides meet in the first round who have already played each other in the opener of 2008-09 or 2009-10.

The same applies to the final round of the season.

And finally, the sides that are to play in the Champions League (Inter, Roma, Milan and Sampdoria) cannot meet each other or one of the Europa League participants (Palermo, Napoli and Juventus) in-between continential ties on a Thursday.

The rounds affected by this schedule are Weeks 7, 10, 13, 15 and 16.

You think too far, guys.

Our first 3 matches will be with: Lecce (H), Cesena (A) and Catania (H)

2 newcomers and Catania without Mihajlovic, let hope Milan would not lose

I like the schedule this year... I think we have a good chance...if we spend some money in the transfer market

Yeah its a great schedule actually, very easy start and not so hard ending. Whats important the important games are spread all over the fixtures. With proper signings we can do well this time. but only if we improve our squad. Cuz as optimist as I can be I don`t think that Allegri can motivate some players that are hard to motivate like Dinho, Pirlo, Ambro etc. Leo did a great job in that aspect. Plus one year older and 4 years till the other World Cup. :S
