Here is something interesting Rui Costa is going to be loaned to Athletico Madrid.

To me that seems fair. Since at least he will get a starting 11 place, which he always deserves.

It won't happen unless Rui really personally demands it and I hope we are getting someone if it happens...that would only leave Kaka as I don't believe Ancelotti would play anybody else in that position.

i find it hard to believe. rui is such a champion ON AND OFF the pitch. so long as he doesn't demand it, milan won't do that. i know it. where in the world can we find a more qualified backup for kaka'????

yea, I heard that both Rui and Sheva are going to be loaned out so they can get experience

in a more serious note, I am sure Rui will stay until the day he decides to retire or go to play to Portugal to then retire....although if he decides to stay with us until his retirement I would be extremely happy, he is such a champion! Forza

nnooooooooo way.... he is not going anywhere at least for this season... I do not believe it even if God would tell me that ...... as someone has said we can not affort to loan Rui for this part of season cuz now we are in race with juve for scudetto Cl is also waitin for us.... man we do not have Kaka's replacement if he suddenly gets injured imagine what would happen if not only Kaka get injury [Sheva or Crespo].... it's almost over then... we do not have any othe option except leaving Rui in our squad....

I'm so sad about this news and I wish it is just astupid
rumor since Rui costa is wonderful md player and Ancelotti is very
wrong by setting him in bench and as I know his contract with milan tell
2006 do you thing he would break the contract and leave Milan?
in my option if Rui leaves Milan he should not go to Atletico he
should go to benfica (since this his wish)

Italian champions Milan have reportedly offered Atletico Madrid the services of Manuel Rui Costa.

The ‘AS’ newspaper suggests that the midfielder could complete a switch during the January transfer window.

Rui Costa is said to be unhappy with life on the Rossoneri bench and is willing to leave the outfit.

The Portuguese ace has been relegated to the sidelines for the past 18 months following the arrival of Kaka.

Milan chief Adriano Galliani has allegedly already spoken to the Spanish side to make initial enquiries.

The two clubs have an excellent relationship after the deals involving Jose Mari, Javi Moreno, Cosmin Contra and Fabricio Coloccini in the past five years.

However, it is unclear whether Rui Costa would be willing to move to La Liga in the New Year.

The creative player has always insisted that he would like to end his career with former club Benfica.

The ex-Fiorentina hero is now 32 and is tied to the Italian giants until the summer of 2006.

btw i hardly see our team weaken without an another choice, at least as good as Rui..Maybe in the summer, cause Rui deserves to play after all, but has better players unluckily in front of him.
