I find this Ultras discussion very interesting, but having been to many European games as well as English ones i find the Ultras stlye exciting but a bit limited. For instance when at an Ultras game most of the songs are controlled by the "bosses" however in England chants and songs can and do come from all people from all parts of the ground. There is more spontaneity but less organisation and songs tend to drift in and out. I think you should know that Olympique Lyonais in France have a very well organised and fanatical "ultras" section. Looking forward to being at the San Siro with United, then you'll enjoy some competition off the pitch too in the Casa del diablo! good luck

Question

Giovanni, Franco, or Darko:

Could you tell me the story about I Furiosi of Cagliari and Balestini (sp?) I see this referenced everywhere and I think there's an entire book on the whole affair but don't know enough Italian to completely understand.

Thanks
Brian

I just know the story in brief. It was a Cagliari-Milan (mid 90's), the Milan ultras stole a 'furiosi' banner (Furisosi is the name of one of Cagliari's ultra' groups). Then on their way back home, the Milan ultras' exhibited the stolen furiosi banner on the ship (cuz Cagliari is a city in Sardegna) and all this was shown on the main Italian tv stations and news.

This was a moment of glory for our ultras' and embaressment of the furiosi group. When such things happen i.e. a group looses his banner the ultras eithics state that that gruop should be dissolved, infact during this year Cagliari-Milan our ultras showed a banner to the Cagliari ultras 'Are you still Furiosi?' LOL LOL LOL

I know there is only the Sconvolts in Cagliari now. But I know Milan (BRN) and many other banners have been stolen and the groups are still around.

The anticipation to our next two matches at home is extremely high. Inter always succeed to bring out the best from them , the masterpieces. so much hard work, creativity, originality... Masterworks on a tremendous area... it's amazing, fills you with pride, light you the fire inside all over again every time you see it!
gives you the goosebumps
it's realy one of the reasons for the love to AC Milan.
our "12" player is THE-MOST-TALENTED-IN-THE-WORLD, period.

Guys, Milan- United will be a game, for atmosphere and passion, that hardly the United fans will forget, regardless of the result..
I wait this game since so many time and i'm sure San Siro will be an amazing packed cauldron.

Inter- Milan will be a great experience as well.
Milan -Inter was a great match and had a lot of atmosphere..The Inter fans who passed in front of the Ultras waiting at the gates were laughed at and humiliated with songs! It was very fun, and esp when girls passed down there, the worst side of the Italian crowd expressed itself with kind compliments towards the Inter ladies

Well basically it looks like this everyday. But it rains everday too up in the mountains. But mostly sunshine.

I have never in my entire love relationship with this club ever saw INTER outclass the Curva Sud. NEVER WILL! Such brilliance also shows up on the ptich and scoreboard as well.
