Team Italy looks really good so far in the Euros. Unlike most of the Italian teams I saw in my time, this team looks fast and decisive. They control the ball decent and are very very fast when moving the ball and running down the flanks. One of the rare Italian national team that actually plays directly instead of passing back and forth all game for no apparent reason. The midfield in particular looks physically strong and athletic, which is a critical component of the modern game. I do wonder if they should start Chiesa in place of Berardi though. Berardi has done ok so far, but having Insigne and Chiesa on both wings brings a lot of speed and technical ability that can threaten opposing defense on many levels.

But you don't know that. You assume that because you read it somewhere but we don't actually know what is true or not because we're not involved in those conversations. Neither were the media. Unless it came straight from the mouth of someone at the club, there's no guarantee there was any truth to it at all.

you really don';t know how things work do you. They would need to get him to sign a new contract, likely extended, for less money. No one in their right mind would drop their salary willingly.

2 asists in 2 games. You just cant cut a player after such performance plus he is superbly mobile. Berardi may take a rest in the upcoming week but I guess he will be on the pitch for RO16

I mean since he was a child back then... I guess thats understandable? These guys dont go to school, dont even read books probably. Yet they earn millions of euros and suddenly feel they are the greatest. Its not fair to expect them to behave mature especially when they are still U21

This has been our issue for quite some time. Picking up young talent, or have it come through, but never really give them a chance.

100% agree with this. as a player myself, if I'm getting criticised and benched when playing well(or even just decent) while another older player is playing terribly but can do no wrong, then I'm out. I'd say my piece to the coach and if nothing changes I'll leave.
You can blame the coach for that one and, to an extent, the club for letting it happen. Not that I've ever read anything negative he's said about the club, but wouldn't blame Locatelli if he he did.

Berardi alway get the hate in this forums for playing like Suso. If Suso get more than 20 goals contribution every season then I would gladly get him back to replace Castillejo.

We loan Locatelli out when we got Bakayoko. We were trying to get back into UCL so was it a bad decision at that time? I don't know but I only know its easy to give young players a chance when you are at the top or when you are forced to.
Dream mercato would consist of buying Jorginho + Berardi. This Italian national team is inspirational to say the least. All these players are really coming into their own.
Spinazzola is better than Theo the way he's playing, it's impressive.

They say Berardi is a RW poacher with no pace at all. Rebic is a LW poacher then and he has been helping the team a lot with his goals and assists. Not everybody has the pace of Leao and Chiesa. Kaka was an amazing player with his pace but once he lost the pace, he was no longer the player he was. That is the problem about players that depend on mainly pace, its a steep drop once you reach 30.
