I don't really care that much, but I would go with everyone here so far: Italy and Spain.
Wouldn't that be hilarious if Ireland and Croatia end up advancing into the next round? It would not be the first time if it happened.

How can you support an Italian team without Maldini, Nesta, Gattuso, Zambrotta, Gilardino, Vieieri, Del Piero, Cannavaro and Ambrosini, unless they pick Abbiatti, Abate, Nocerino and Cassano
The only good game Ambro has played for the Azzuri was the came role in 2000 Final against France.

Ironically, Del Piero squandered two golden chances to seal the victory in the final, one (or both?) created by Ambrosini.
And I don't remember Gilardino having a particularly good spell with Italian NT either.

I think both of them were created by Ambrosini, whats that? He has created more for the Azzuri than with MIlan
.
I still can`t believe Del Piero missed those sitters. Bad memories.
You know what is more interesting fact. Del Piero never had a important role in the azzuri. in 2000 it was Inzaghi,Totti, Delvechio..in 2002 Totti and Vieri in 2006 Totti and Toni. Its interesting how Totti has always been preferred over him. Before that it was Baggio.

I recomend all of you to watch highlits of Italy winning 2006 games. I wanted to know how they became champions. And after watching the highlights it was clear. Every italian player that summer was on top of their game. Pirlo, Gattuso, Zambrota,Grosso, Cannavaro, Perrota, Materazzi, Buffon,Camoranesi all of them were playing the best football of their career. Only Totti and Toni were slacking a bit.
Seriously they were impressive.
One more interesting fact is Perrota is played exactly like Nocerino this year. And there are a lot of similarities between Italy 06 and Milan 12. I guess when Lippi said that Allegri reminded him of his younger days he said it for a reason.
