I've stated before that I think DES leaving could bite us in the backside. He's even shown signs of improvement this year, so if we have some quality/stability next season, then I really want him to stay.

I also don't fully understand why Zaza is particularly liked. I don't really rate him personally, he's a hard worker, but honestly beyond that I don't think he's that great. We reject the idea of Pavoletti so quickly (not to say I want him as a starter), so why Zaza who has yet to show particularly more?

I agree. Not totally convinced on Zaza. And De Sciglio is our own and I think will have a lot to offer in the future.

And also, why not wait for this? Because it's not going to happen? Let's see...:

A chinese rich guy is the best what we can hope for! Silvio will do nothing unlike firing coaches, not investing.

Van Ginkel is on fire for PSV. Irony.

Any chance of Jose Mourinho coming to take charge and revolutionize AC Milan?

Also any news of AC Milan linked with big names, like James, Griezman etc?

In all honesty you can answer those questions yourself.

Zaza for De Dciglio? In a heartbeat!

Paulinho? Absolutely not!

Van Ginkel? He's been decent for PSV this season but I'm not even sure if I'd take him over Poli to be honest. Regardless, he didn't want to be here anyway. We have enough mediocre players.

RE: Summer Mercato 2016 - am I Milan enough? - 04-16-2016

I wont rush to release DES considering 'the chaos' we ve had for past seasons (and currently having), how many coaches in between since his debut. No (senior/serious) player especially defender to guide him as well.  That has surely directly and indirectly affected his development. Id still give him time to grow though.

RE: Summer Mercato 2016 - honsano - 04-16-2016

Most defenders bloom late. Though some great ones show amazing talent immediately (nesta, maldini) others take time for growth and education (silva). I understand selling young attackers, but never talented young defenders.

RE: Summer Mercato 2016 - nefremo - 04-16-2016

A couple of years ago he could've been sold for 20+ mil. These days, we'd be lucky if he can fetch 10. If he continues with his "development", he'd end up being loaned out for free.

He has proven to be nothing more than an average player at this point. He is 23 going on 24 and he can't be a "talented youngster" forever. I was one of the people that opposed his sale a couple years ago. But I think we all need to come to terms that maybe this is the quality that we'll see from De Sciglio in his career. There is absolutely nothing that he has shown in about 2 years that suggests otherwise. We also can't blame coaches for some of his shortcomings. It's not like it's a bad run of form. The guy has no explosiveness. He can be decent in his positioning but is not good 1v1. He is mediocre (closer to terrible) in possession and absolutely horrendous when attacking. I'm not sure which one of those things we can blame on coaches.

He should not be the first one to go as there is other trash to get rid of before. But if there is a good opportunity I wouldn't hesitate at all.

Sometimes some players just don't work out in certain places and do better elsewhere. If MDS goes on somewhere and turns into a top player, so be it. But AS OF RIGHT NOW, things aren't working out at Milan and I don't honk anyone can deny that.

Also, note that my willingness to swap MDS with Zaza, is with the thought that we can than freely sell Bacca and reinvest the money into a midfielder without having to replace Bacca because Zaza will already be here.

RE: Summer Mercato 2016 - Best-Pundit - 04-16-2016

Selling MDS would be a crime. It is time to convert him to RCB to partner that other kid called Ramoigli, Abate as RB and bring Davide Santon to fill in at LB. AC Milan's defensive problems would be solve immediately.
