RE: Summer transfer window 2017 - donlocatelli - 02-22-2017 (02-22-2017, 12:18 AM)porcho Wrote: Forgive me for the essay but thought I'd try put it all together...re sales, i doubt we get more than 20m for bacca given the season he's having. maybe 25m if we get an offer from china but not sure he'd want to go there. we should've pushed through his transfer last summer where we could've recouped 30m. as for niang, i think watford will try to negotiate down the buy option so think 15m is more realistic. despite a great epl debut his performances have unsurprisingly dropped off. re kucka, i don't see anybody paying 10m for him. i think 5m is the most we'll get for him. same goes for poli + sosa. that gives us a very realistic figure of 50m which could be increased further if we sell gabriel (keep storari as backup) 4m, lopez 2m, zapata 2m, vangioni 1m, ely 1m, mastour 100m (lol). re isco, his contract expires summer 2018 and he hardly starts so 40m is realistic. rakitic's contract expires summer 2019 and he'll be 29 next month so maybe 45m is more realistic. however, i read he's part of a juve whatsapp group so is probably heading there to be with pjaca, manduzkic. i think the other prices you quoted are pretty realistic (30m for de vrij + keita who are both in the last year of their contracts). badelj will cost just over 10m (his agent recently said 12m would be enough for him in winter) but kessie will cost almost double. re wingers, i'd personally like to sign 2 to rotate with suso but there's no reason we couldn't renew deulofeu's loan another year or get a similar signing with option to buy. same goes for fb. i don't think it would be a stretch to get darmian/vrsaljko on a cheap loan with option to buy deal as both players are out of favour with their clubs. if they don't perform we can sign a permanent replacement in january. i would keep... gk donna storari plizzari fb des abate darmian/vrsaljko (3m loan + option) antontelli calabria cb de vrij (28m) romagnoli paletta gomez mf cesc/isco/rakitic (40m) tielemans/dahoud/pellegrini (20m) loca bona berto monty mauri wingers suso keita (25m) bernardeschi (45m) deulofeu (renew loan) st belotti (50m) lapa total cost = darmian (3m) + de vrij (28m) + cesc/isco/rakitic (40m) + dahoud/tielemans/pellegrini (20m) + keita (25m) + bernardeschi (45m) + belotti (50m) = 211m sales = bacca (20m) + niang (15m) + sosa (5m) + kucka (5m) + poli (5m) + gabriel (4m) + zapata (2m) + lopez (2m) + ely (1m) + vangioni (1m) = 60m so with the rumoured 150m mercato budget + 60m of player sales its possible to totally restructure the squad if done properly. this squad would have a realistic shot at top 3. RE: Summer transfer window 2017 - donlocatelli - 02-22-2017 apparently mirabelli had dinner with pastore's agent in milan yesterday. not sure i want him. he's barely played this season and has been out of form for a few seasons now. we should be targeting up and coming stars + champions not has beens. RE: Summer transfer window 2017 - donlocatelli - 02-22-2017 some interesting news on the calciomercato website: * napoli will place an opening bid of 25m for kessie * rakitic is likely to sign an extension. his price based on his current deal's 40m like i stated * bernardeschi's new contract will include a 70m release clause RE: Summer transfer window 2017 - nefremo - 02-22-2017 25mil for Kessie is a bit too much imo. There is a big risk there. Bernardeschi is likely to stay in Fiorentina this summer I think. At this point of his career, he reminds me of Martial (obviously Bernardeschi is older than Martial was when he went to United). When I say reminds me of...I don't mean footballing attributes, or style, or anything like that. I just specifically am talking about the point of their career. What I mean by that is, 70mil is a lot of money just like Martial's transfer was a lot of money. Clearly people see potential in the player otherwise the price would have never been that high. The problem is, they might be 70/80mil good in the future, but it's not now. It might be a year, 2, 3 from now. The question is, do we splash that much money and than just sit and wait for him to realize his potential? Is that the right thing to do? If we had cash just sitting around and an already fixed team, ok. But whatever we will have, we will need it to fix the squad NOW. We can't afford to wait years. Alternatively, they might never become a 70/80mil player and than you've just screwed. Bernardeschi for 30-40mil, yes. It's still high, but you have to pay for unrealized potential. It's just the way it works. But I wouldn't pay 70 for him and I don't think anyone else will too. For that much money you can buy an established player that offers far more guarantees. For example, for 70mil you can probably buy Alexis.....you can definitely buy Douglas Costa and maybe even Isco in that same price for example. RE: Summer transfer window 2017 - donlocatelli - 02-22-2017 (02-22-2017, 04:01 PM)nefremo Wrote: 25mil for Kessie is a bit too much imo. There is a big risk there.i think 25m is a fair price for kessie but he's still too raw for us. we can sign a more polished young player for the same fee (tielemans/dahoud/pellegrini). i really have no idea how much bernardeschi + belotti will cost. last season, juve had a deal to sign berardi from sassuolo for just 25m. he's been performing at a consistently high level for several seasons now with superior stats to berna/belo. therefore, there's no way they're worth 3x more. having said that gagliardini (a dm) recently went for 25m and verratti's rumoured price tag's 70m. the only way to gauage their true price is based on each clubs past selling behaviour. torino sold both immobile + cerci for c.20m after similarly strong seasons and they're both italian. meanwhile, fiorentina sold cuadadro for 30m to chelsea. therefore, i doubt we'll have to pay the full buyout clauses but will be looking at 40-50m for each player. unfortunately juve buying higuain for 98m and the fact we have chinese money has skewed things. RE: Summer transfer window 2017 - donlocatelli - 02-22-2017 even if we don't buy 50m champions i think we'll be fine with mirabelli in charge. don't forget he signed perisic for 16m, murillo 9m and brozovic 8m. each of those players values have doubled/tripled and they're being linked to the worlds top clubs. just this week i read chelsea are interested in perisic whilst real want murillo. would anybody seriously object if he signed players like that for us? i don't think so. and he got them for far less than the rumoured 30m per player the chinese want to spend. also, remember all the times we missed out on potential champions like marquinhos, benatia, manolas, peres, pjanic, verratti, strootman, nainggolan, gabbiadini, eriksen when they were available for reasonable prices? well now we have the funds to never miss out again. if mirabelli can pull off deals like sabatini did at roma or monchi at sevilla we're in good hands. RE: Summer transfer window 2017 - nefremo - 02-22-2017 I agree! The only issue I have with that is that by signing players that are just in the process of becoming World Class, we will not be winning much. We will be a good team and in the mix to win something, but teams that have the already established stars (Juventus for example) will still be doing all the winning. What I mean is.....yes, sign players like the ones you mentioned (perisic, brozovic, etc)...but also add 2-3 already established world class players to help the entire process. Here is an example......Bonaventura. I was a huge advocate of signing him. I absolutely loved him in Atalanta and I was sooo happy when we signed him. IF we already had established world class players (let's say for example Pirlo, Seedorf, Kaka, etc) for him to play with from the very beginning, he was going to realize his potential at a big club even immediately when he came. Instead, he's had to go through adversity because we have had no other established quality around him to take the load off. He's had to go the long and hard way, and it took him a lot longer to finally start showing the same quality performances at Milan that he was showing at Atalanta. Some players on the other hand never make it. The "long and hard road" is just too difficult and they fall through the cracks (Bertolacci is the prime example here - although as long as he is still here there is always time for a change in course). RE: Summer transfer window 2017 - reza - 02-22-2017 Supposedly Bacca has another offer from China (Cannavaro's Tianjin Quanjian) and they are offering Milan 30 million. China's transfer window is open... RE: Summer transfer window 2017 - ACMILAN1983 - 02-22-2017 This is the rumour reza posted about: http://www.milannews.it/primo-piano/sky-offerta-monstre-del-tianjin-a-bacca-i-dettagli-245510 Actually very tempting, he's pretty much useless right now and the 30m is probably as good as we'll get (wouldn't be shocked if his price drops quite a lot by the summer). Of course, the problem is the only real alternative left is Lapadula or Deulofeu. Pellegatti has also spoken about the summer window: http://www.milannews.it/primo-piano/premium-milan-dopo-il-closing-sara-un-mercato-di-stelle-budget-da-150-180-milioni-di-euro-245472 Basically, we've gone in the past 2 days or so from a budget of 100m on the market, to 130m and now 150m and possibly 180m (on sales). lol, by the summer comes, our budget will pretty much be enough to buy every player on the planet! Names listed as potential targets are: Lindelof (Benfica) Alexis Sanchez (Arsenal) Lacazette (Lyon) Keita (Lazio) Dahoud (Gladbach) RE: Summer transfer window 2017 - nefremo - 02-22-2017 All those players are more than welcome here. All of them will raise the level. Obviously, Alexis would be a dream signing. I really like Lindelof, while Dahoud has that something about his game that just says he will be a top midfielder for years to come. Lacazette is having a great year after slowing down last season. About Bacca.....if that 30mil (or a big chunk of it) will be added to our budget to be used in the sunmer, than fine. I would just really hate it if Fininvest takes that money. I am not a big fan of Bacca, but if Milan is not going to benefit from this sale and it will be Fininvest that does...than I'd rather sell him in the summer for half the price. At least we'll know that it will benefit Milan directly. Not sure how that will work. Rumors are saying that SES will cover close to 100mil of Milan's operating expenses that have been accrued in this year. If the sale of Bacca lowers that expense by 30mil, than ok...that means SES has to spend 30mil less on these expenses and that can be used as an addition for the summer budget I hope. About the budget numbers...obviously it's all speculation and nobody knows the reap number. It would be highly unfavorable for Milan if people knew that anyway. But it's clear that it will be a very large budget. A number we've never spent before for sure. I'm getting really excited already! |
