RE: Summer transfer window 2017 - Hitman - 06-14-2017 does anyone else see the resemblance between Andre Silva and Icardi in playing styles? RE: Summer transfer window 2017 - AC_Troy - 06-14-2017 I can't wait to play with this team on FIFA 18 RE: Summer transfer window 2017 - Hitman - 06-14-2017 (06-14-2017, 06:03 PM)Rimini Wrote: l don't want İbra, since he rejected us last season. we will open our arms to him when he needed us. but he rejected us when we need him? where is the justice? no he didn't. he waited for us to the very last moment but we didn't offer anything for him. we were being co-managed by two managements if you remember. He could play with a second striker though but I don't think he is a second striker. Imo, we did not need him last year, more exactly, we could not afford his wage. Our highest earner takes 4M euro/year -> less than 100k/week but Ibra takes 300k pounds ~ 400k euro. He could demand us less last year, but still out of our reach. Anyway, Ibra is just my last option RE: Summer transfer window 2017 - nefremo - 06-14-2017 (06-14-2017, 04:02 PM)ACMILAN1983 Wrote: Just a question, I know a lot of you consider Douglas Costa a dream signing, but can you explain why? Not to say I don't rate him or consider him a useful player if he were to come (he would improve us for sure), but he's not someone I particularly see as a dream signing if I'm honest. As Mystik said, it's more of a "dream" because he is right there for the taking. The true dream is a player like Modric or Verratti, or even someone like Coutinho for the attack...but we all know that this may not even happen in a dream, let alone a reality. For me personally, I've been following the player since his Gremio days and always thought he was someone that had the ability to explode in Europe and become one of the best wingers. I suggested him a few years ago when he was at Shakhtar as someone that is flying under the radar, with exceptional ability, and at the same time not expensive yet. Bayern took a shot at him and got him for "only" 30mil. He was exceptional last year. Completely destroying Juventus's wide areas in the CL is one thing that comes to mind....but in general, Guardiola used him correctly and he fit in his football. We all know that he likes to isolate the wingers as much as possible and get them in 1v1 situations, and this worked wonders for Costa. This year, Carlo preferred a different style and we all know that Carlo is political as hell....so he favored Ribery, which part of me thinks is politics in the locker room. You DON'T want Ribery against you in Bayern. The guy runs the show. Anyway, regardless, it wasn't a great season for Costa...Ribery or not! As for the player himself......I love the incredible acceleration he has and that explosive burst of speed in the first 3-4 meters. When it comes to 1v1 play, he is one of the best around. He can play across the attack...right, left, and even as a SS/AM which I have seen him do at Shakhtar. His left foot is one of the best around and if you isolate him in a 1v1 situation on the wing, 9 times out of 10 he will be able to deliver a super dangerous ball in the box. Lastly, he brings some of that flair....some of that joy and entertainment that we haven't seen in Milan for a long time now. I know this can be bad as much as it can be good when players abuse it....but I think's it's great and very important in today's age to have a player that's able to do this effectively. Dinho many times took a lot of heat for this, especially in his earlier years....but everyone loved watching him play. Everyone loved the entertainment. It took him a while to find the balance between that stuff and being effective, but when he did, he was almost unstoppable for a few seasons. Costa obviously doesn't bring anywhere near that level of entertainment, but it's better than nothing. I think for 35ish mil, Costa is a great value. Once you start getting into the 50mil region as reports say that Bayern wants...than sure, it's risky and probably not worth it.....unless you can throw Renato Sanches in the deal as well. Anyway, it seems like the player is off to Juventus. IMO, it's a shame because he could have been more important to us. But it is what it is...we can move on. There are other players out there that can improve us just as well. I believe that this team is badly lacking two things: 1. A player in attack that's got great pace and ability to take players on 1v1. We all saw what a difference Deulofeu made as he added a different dimension to our play. It's just that too bad that most of the time his decision making and ability to close plays was terrible. This is exactly the need that Douglas Costa fulfills imo. 2. A player to make the team "tick" in the midfield. Doesn't matter if he'll play in front of the defense or as a mezzala. I am talking here about a player that wants the ball several times during a possession, sets the tempo, rarely ever uses the ball under pressure, etc, etc. Examples are obviously players like Verratti, Modric, Alcantara, etc.....but those players are completely out of reach. So I don't know who else is out there with similar abilities, yet still obtainable for us. RE: Summer transfer window 2017 - Hitman - 06-14-2017 latest rumours are saying we offered this for belotti: a) 80m + Zapata: 20m loan this year, 60m paid over 3 years b) 75m: 25m loan this year + 50m in one/two instalments next year RE: Summer transfer window 2017 - reza - 06-14-2017 Insane prices, and we are definitely in FFP trouble not long down the line if we pay 70-80+ for one position. Installment and all these are ok and makes it better for UEFA too but the Chinese plan is not exactly convincing. I am talking about FFP only. Money wise in general the Chinese better not spend what they don't have as that would be far more dangerous than some UEFA sanctions. RE: Summer transfer window 2017 - ZvonimirBoban - 06-14-2017 If that's the price for Belotti then I say forget about him. He's definitely not worth that much. Period. |
