RE: Summer transfer window 2017 - porcho - 06-19-2017 100% - there are many examples of players that where overhyped and never amounted to anymore than a decent player. I still think Raiola played a big part but as Stitch said, Gigio had/has the power to change things but has chosen not to. There is still time for him to redeem himself but the longer he waits the closer he gets to the point of no return. And no return will exist with Raiola around RE: Summer transfer window 2017 - AC_Troy - 06-19-2017 I think it's too far gone for him to stay at this point. Better we move on. RE: Summer transfer window 2017 - am I Milan enough? - 06-19-2017 Between Raiola's interview and Fassone's response. I choose to trust Fassone. as simple as that. If was Galliani, maybe we dont know what really happened. but so far FM have been steady and professional handling stuff like this. RE: Summer transfer window 2017 - ACM2023 - 06-19-2017 I love how this has united us Milan fans. For those who claimed that fans have now burnt the bridge, I would like to remind them who provided the match and gas. RE: Summer transfer window 2017 - am I Milan enough? - 06-19-2017 Marseille interested to get Bacca.. RE: Summer transfer window 2017 - sylrus - 06-19-2017 go get him marseille, no way we can sell him more than 15 this time. and yeah, the only way for dollar to return back to donna is to sack raiola and apologize to us fans and the club officially because he has made a mistake for trusting raiola to much. RE: Summer transfer window 2017 - umroh murah - 06-19-2017 I think the duet musacchio and romagnoli quite promising, backed up kjaer. Take 1 young player plus Gustavo Gomez. Hopefully no one is seriously injured this season RE: Summer transfer window 2017 - nefremo - 06-19-2017 Fassone slaughtered Raiola! I love it!! Absolutely love it. The best quote is the one where he mentiones that their (Raiola and Donnaruma's) attitude has just cost Milan 100mil Euros....as whatever Real Madrid doesn't pay Milan will instead end up in Mino's pockets. Haha I love it! Ungrateful pigs!!! I hope that we stop paying attention to this though. The team still needs a few signings and we need to continue on that front. Set the price for Donnarumma and ignore everything else. Of someone pays it, sell..if not, stands for a year. But don't spend days or weeks dealing with Raiola's bullshit. We have other things to worry about. Bte, it definitely would be a savage move to bring in Perin though and make him the starter in front of Donnarumma. Than just immagine, Perin goes to the WC and Donnarumma stays at home. RE: Summer transfer window 2017 - slifersd - 06-19-2017 Raiola can spill whatever garbage he wants to the media, it still does not change the fact that Dolla dug his own grave in this case. I don't know how many business negotiations Raiola has been involved in, but every business negotiation has its timeline. When the LA Clippers was sold to Steve Ballmer, do you think Ballmer just put his 2 billion offer on the table and go "take your time, fellas, call me back whenever!"? You are either naive to a very high degree or darn right stupid to think that is the case. The reality is, Dolla's contract was coming up, and Milan absolutely needed to get a resolution on it one way or another, otherwise, his greedy ass gets to whore himself around and sign a pre-contract with another team come January. To even think this deadline is unreasonable is just...stupid beyond belief. At this point, I really do question the wisdom or even intelligence of Dolla. I was one of the first people on this forum to give him a little benefit of the doubt. The guy is 18 after all, and these high leverage negotiations can escalate quickly. I am not mad at him for not knowing what to do, because, that's why he has professionals to handle these things to begin with. But the stuff he says about how he feels pressured, wanted to discuss things in October or November, feels threatened by the fans' hatred toward him, etc, etc make him sound like he's a 7 year old walking to elementary school for the first time. It's one thing to not be a business professor, but quite another to not know even this much about your own profession. RE: Summer transfer window 2017 - ACMILAN1983 - 06-19-2017 Very interesting comments from Marotta... http://www.football-italia.net/104375/marotta-wants-end-greedy-agents Put simply, right now Milan are at war with Raiola, despite what Mino says. So far, Fassone has outright destroyed Mino publicly by acting quickly and making clear and transparent statements. I've already mentioned how announcing Donnarumma's choice to decline the renewal was a big deal, but then responding within 30 minutes last night to Mino's statements earlier meant that the headlines this morning are more balanced rather than all about Mino's statements. On top of that, Fassone says a lot in his statements, such as Mino basically said he hates Mirabelli and likes Fassone. Fassone's response didn't mince words, outright stating Mino's out to pocket money in a deal and put his full support behind Mirabelli. Simply put, Raiola's getting massacred right now and is in a position he's never faced before. It doesn't help he's got a poor relationship with a lot of influencial journalists too (while F&M have been a goldmine for the press this summer so far), so with this war being public, all the cards are stacked against him. That leads back to Marotta's comment. Juve have generally been quiet about the Pogba deal a year ago, but if Marotta is backing Milan and Fassone in this situation and publicly making statements against agents, that leaves "super" agents and specifically Raiola in a very tenuous position. If big clubs are prepared to join this war against Mino, his future in the industry could be at massive risk. I don't think we're close to that point, but given how quickly this situation has escalated and if other big clubs get involved, things could get even worse for Mino. Yesterday I stated that Real might be getting in bed with Mino, but I caveat that with the point that Florentino Perez is rumoured to hate the guy, so this situation may not be as it appears on face value. Mino's also burned a lot of bridges elsewhere, to the point where the only club he seems to have a positive relationship with right now are Man Utd. If Juve and other big clubs throw their weight against him, he's not in a good position. There have been comments that the new management needed to show their strength this summer. Well, working at lightning pace on the market and dominating headlines with new signings and working with probably the most powerful agent on the planet, not letting anyone take advantage of the club, no matter how well they are/were regarded by the fans and now publicly destroying one of the most powerful individuals in the sport is a pretty damn good way to make a statement of strength. |
