some people tested positive even held the so-called "Covid party" for those who had no fear. Some went, was infected, and later died.

Isn't some people are protesting against lockdown.

a lot are protesting. in fact, many places don't have lockdown anyway. Even for those with, i don't think it is effectively enforced.

Devilol what stupid gesture that is, going to a positive covid party, well here its a bit different, because lots of people cannot even afford to buy a mask, let alone live when you ask them to stay at home, so their only choice is to go out and get some rice to feed their family, its between you die of hunger or die from covid. and people choose die from covid rather than die from hunger.

I guess it depends from country to country what's most important for authorities at the moment. To preserve some lifes and sacrifice some of economy or other way arround.
For example, in Serbia (and Croatia too) first wave was under restrictons and lock downs, there were stories how Europe is plagued, tons of deaths and how here is not like that (because we, your authorities care about you, we fight for you, it's most important to save lifes, etc). Of course, elections were pending (in both countries). Than after elections were over (authorities in both countries won by great margins, cause they "cared about people and won against covid". In Serbia every citizen got 100 euros "to help him against covid" few weeks before elections. Like we don't know true purpose...) - it's another story. "We need to learn to live with virus, it will never go away, we must think about economy, etc..." Of course, covid numbers increased, larger than they ever been in times when "quarantines and restrictions were necessary cause of cataclysmic covid numbers". Now we're in "Belarus/Swedish mode" - keep distance/wear masks and with some luck you might even survive...
Not to mention some moronic decisions like allowing 20 000 people on football game, tenis tournaments, etc...
For example, when China resolved Wuhan, they sent those experts into Serbia to put epidemic under control. And they did, pretty fast. They identified some hospitals as not covid friendly cuase of central ventilations systems and said keep covid infected people away from there, fixed some other errors, etc. Once they left, authorities started to put covid positive people into those hospitals. Wtf? They said "do not reduce restrictions too fast", authorities let 20 000 folks on football game, etc... "virus started to act abnormaly, we werent expecting this"... Seriously?

Keep an eye on second wave of Coronavirus. History tells us second waves are way too dangerous than initial round of attack.

When expected? Is it the fall one?

Second wave is expected after the fall of the first wave, when a country reaches the infection's peak it is followed by flattening of curve and then the second wave of infections starts. Let me show you graphical representation of deaths in 3 peaks of Spanish flu

In second wave, Spanish flu's virus got mutated into highly infectious and virulent which lead to such amount of damage.

Some says that we are curently in second wave. They identifeied death cases due to covid in USA and some European countries which dated back to november, prior to China epidemic and theory is that first wave went "unnoticed" cause it was mild and that Wuhan actually was point of origin for second wave.
