Could have been worse, could have been better. In my opinion the third best choice after Benfica and Porto. Spurs is unpredictable. Totally outplayed by Man United, to win 6-2 against Leicester. Ups and downs. Kane and Son is of course their main threat, together with Perisic. Conte also have a advantage since he know us very well. I think we are better in midfield and defence. Bentacur- Højberg- is no way better than Tonali- Bennacer. I also think Romero- Dier- Davies is weaker than our defence. Maignan is also a better keeper than Lloris in my opinion.
They play in Contes usual 3-5-2. A formation that often fit us because of the room that fits Leao perfect for going 1-1. We saw that against Inter. Leao on fire with two goals and a assist in that game.
I rate Spurs at the same level as Chelsea, maybe a bit lower. Chelsea has more quality. In the games against Chelsea we played pretty even, but was punished brutaly for our mistakes, and no Maignan.. And of course the red card on Tomori fucked up all at San Siro.
I rate this match 60-40 in our favour.
If im gonna make a comparison, i would make it this way:
- Lloris- Maignan: Maignan.
- Romero- Kjær: Draw.
- Tomori- Dier: Tomori.
- Kalulu- Emerson_ Kalulu
- Theo- Perisic: Theo.
- Tonali- Højberg: Tonali.
- Bennacer- Bentacur: Bennacer.
- Richarlison- Messias: Richarlison
- Kane- Giroud: Kane
- Son- Leao: Draw.

Probably the "easiest" option as Benfica are very good this year and Porto are always tough to beat.
Much will depend on form in February and if there are tangible new signings in January.

Same as my thoughts, Benfica and Porto actually seem quite good. Spurs and Conte are probably the easiest for us.

This seasons Tomori is barely better than McGuire. He is lucky CDK, Adli etc has taken focus off of him this season. This Tomori you understand why Chelsea was loaning him out every year. I hope he is back to himself in the new year.
