What do we need and what can be done in January, discuss
Apparently we have signed David Arizala, a 20 year old left sided player, from Independiente Medellin. Supposedly a player who is very good with the ball.

Apparently RedBird refuses to sanction January spending due to the poor signings last winter.
We are going to have some bad signings, it’s just part of the business. IMO the signings weren’t bad. They just didn’t work out (if you guys know what I mean). Gimenez was playing good football and scoring goals with Feyenoord, Kyle Walker was meant to be a Modric esque signing and Felix has good skill and potential. You can’t just refuse to improve the team because players didn’t work out. If we don’t get a striker this winter we aren’t winning a thing and if we don’t get coverage for Saelemakers, he’s going to get a serious injury.

WB (5): Saelemaekers, Bartesaghi, Estupiñán, Athekame, Arizala
CM (6): Modric, Rabiot, Fofana, Ricci, Jashari, Cheek
FW (4): Leao, Pulisic, Gimenez, Nkunku
Welcome, Arizala!!! His numbers showed that he is one of the best full backs in Colombian league, if not the best!

After the travel to Turin, the hunt for a top CB must take the attention, IMO.
The defense system is well organized but its parts should be upgraded. Only Gabbia shows the stability and improvement, Tomori & Pavlovic only get better at... attacking, nice, but defense should be their first priority. And only De Winter to cover all 3 positions is too few, the boy also needs some consistency to improve himself.
We have enough quantity for WBs with the addition of Arizala & Tomori's new skill set. The CF department have the quality, though only Pulisic has good adaption, but it is not emergency.
Like Rabiot said: we cannot always come back after conceding 2 goals.

Our CF don’t have quality or quantity. Neither Leao nor Pulisic are CF. IMO, if Allegri wants to play a nback 3, we should line up with a 3-4-2-1 with Leao and Puli behind a proper striker. I would try it out when Gimenez comes back and see if that helps him score. Nkunku and be a sub for the AM as that’s more his position as well.
I agree though, we definitely need help at CB.

Even more important is to get the choice right. Even if we are rolling in cash*, we can not have players here that 6 months later will be called flops. I am actually against the idea of selling either Gimenez or Nkunku, before a minimum of one full season.

Regarding the signing of Nkunku, Il Giornale report that Allegri was surprised by the €40m move, given that for weeks he had asked for a more typical striker and instead found himself with an attacking midfielder.
Sporting director Igli Tare was also ‘unimpressed’ with the deal, which was ‘completed thanks to CEO Giorgio Furlani’s excellent relationship with Chelsea’. It suggests that Furlani went against the wishes of the coach and director, just to keep things sweet with the Blues.

Is it some possibility with a loan deal for Endrick in January with a option to buy? He is rotting on the bench and is third in the line behind Mbappe and Torres. Almost no game time this season, but the talent is 100% there.
Yes its a risk, but a exiting risk to be honest. His salary is around 4,2 million euros a year, so his wages is actually not a problem if he succed and we got a option clause.
