"The difference in vision with the Elliott fund, owners of the club, was the main reason for a painful but inevitable choice for Leo."

Difference in vision probably means that something major has changed about Elliot's intent with the club. If differences existed last summer then Leo would not join Milan project at all. About Maldini, remember he did not want to take part in Yonghong's Milan. Him leaving the Elliot project would also send serious signals.

Maybe but that quote I posted above could be why too

I must be going soft but i dont want anybody to go. No everything is not perfect. We nearly got the massive prize. Missed out by such a narrow margin. Push on next season is what i would say.

yes!

unless he is not asking for money to make expensive transfers just like Leonardo did in january

RE: Milan Management - millinarios - 05-27-2019

Maldini is a man of integrity, I hope he is smart enough not to be a puppet for Elliot. They probably planning to use Maldini to not alienate Milan fans from their shitstain u23 project after Leo's departure.

Elliott are not in the devaluing business. Unless a new owner is coming soon and already working with Elliott on a plan for after Elliott era.

Pretty much this.

And this. I'm not entirely sold on Elliot but i also haven't discounted them either.
Leo leaving doesn't say much to me... The quote you posted AC_Troy sounds pretty spot on. I think Leo sold the club on one thing and it didn't pan out. He was hoping to run things he's way and now that it hasn't worked, is not willing to work for the club another way.

Let's be honest. Elliot don't have to have us winning titles to have a good value but, as a minimum, need us in CL, need us financially stable, and need us looking like we have a good future... A young team, with a stadium of their own, playing good football, playing in CL, that is financially stable, will command the maximum amount of $$ on resale.

100%

We're not even close to winning titles

Gotta crawl before you can run

They say Gattuso not even wanted to stay, because Gazidis made a decision to downsize Milan ambitions. Now, it looks like all Milan legends from the management will resign, because they don't want to do something that goes against the Milan identity. They don't want be a part of what's going to follow. Let that sink in before you talk about Elliot intentions. We don't know anything about their true intentions, while our legends leaving the ship is a big hard fact. Elliot being a vulture fund also is a hard fact. Anyone who don't feel that this is fishy, are fooling themselves.

I still don't rate him as a coach, but as a human being and a Milan legend... Hats off to Mister Gattuso!
