Anyone worried about selling Menez AND Bacca during the same transfer window? Bacca is our only source of consistent goals this season. The season before this, it was Menez. Finding a person who can score goals is always tough and that is why strikers go for such serious money. It is especially difficult to pick a player from another league (people mentioning Lukaku) and seeing them succeed in Italy.
Both players are getting up in years and that is no good for them as they rely on their speed and agility to score, it is always a crapshoot to replace proven quantities. I worry. Maybe we should just bet the bank and buy Ronaldo or Bale as one may be available this summer. I imagine the commercial revenue from such a purchase would offset the costs (a la Real's strategy to transfers).

Looks totally unrealitic in today Milan ...
FYI : Lavezzi has signed a two year contract in China (about 15M/year wages). His contract was going to end this summer, and it looks like Paris still got between 5 and 10M to let the player go.
One should not speak ill of the dead.
So stop laughing at Juventus !
The Chinese League is giving strong competition to MLS. Now if only they could take our star player Mexes too I'd be happy.
Maybe we can sell Mexes as a striker instead of defender. Hell, if you watch his highlight, he does better job scoring spectacular goals than actually buckle down the defense anyway.
The moment I read Tuttosport as source, I stop reading the article. Ibra and Bacca would really be a dreadful partnership, for the rest of the teams in the league. We know Ibra can create goals out of nowhere and no one finishes as well as Bacca. Not even Cavani. Between both of them you save a lot of points that we other drop against the low table teams who are set out to park the bus.
My dream is to buy Mammana, in order to have another young talent in addiction to Donnarumma-Romagnoli to build the defense on, and a veteran like Barzagli or Terry (both free agents from July) to teach them the secrets and to help their growth.
I don't want Balotelli to remain, I love his talent but now he behave like an ex-player.
For the midfield, before buying new players we have to decide the formation: 4-4-2? We need a new right winger (I don't know if El Ghazy may be the right one) and a playmaker. 4-3-3? We need one or two inside forwards and to decide where Bonaventura plays.
Nothing wrong with those two renewing. Mexes will surely be leaving and I suspect Ely could go out on loan, so keeping these two isn't necessarily bad.
On Mammana, lots of mixed reports out there right now. Pedulla is saying Napoli are ahead and determined to get him and we're not really pushing for anything yet. Meanwhile, Nossotti of Sky Sports 24 seems convinced Mammana's going to go Milan. I'm slightly more inclined to believe Nossotti, as Sky Sports 24 tend to be one of the more reliable sources out there.
Nosotti also thinks El Ghazi could be signed for somewhere around 8-10m. I still think there's potential there, but it's interesting to see comments from people who follow the Dutch League closely.
Luca, I'd definitely look to build on 4-4-2, I think we've found a good balance and the players are reasonably well suited to the system.
