According to Sky, we have reached an agreement with West Ham to sell Bacca for 30mil. Maybe the reports that we are signing Pjaca with this money is true after all.
Also, Sky says that Musacchio will surely move to Milan. (18mil)
WCmilan, Andre Gomes won't move for 35mil. Valencia has been clear about this. They have rejected offers of 40mil and want a ridiculous amount of closer to 50. The guy is not worth that.
Also, the Paredes story seems to be closed. He said he is staying at Roma and I imagine he will take Pjanic's duty.

I know it's only July 7th, and I know I'm making a meal out of this.....but you can't help but feel frustrated. The most needed upgrade in this team is the midfield.....yet so far, we are ok with spending millions upon millions everywhere else in the squad, EXCEPT for where it's needed most.
Hopefully you are right and this is only a move to get a good squad player, and the best is yet to come (i believe it is). But even so, it's frustrating that we will spend 5/6mil on this guy who is in his 30s, and give him 2-3 year deal of a couple mil at least I'm imagining.......and if he only IS playing a sub role, than we might as well give that "sub role" to a younger player who can grow and improve and perhaps become a starter in the future.......even if initially we may have to pay more in a transfer fee. (let's say Paredes as an example, or Coric)
I wouldn't mind getting Sosa as long as the other midfielder we buy is Kovacic, Paredes, Andre Gomes, or someone of that caliber. We have Kucka, Bertolacci, and even Montolivo to rotate in so I think Sosa and another quality midfielder might suffice. Of course, if I had to choose, I would get 2 more midfielders in addition to Sosa.
By getting Pjaca, Sosa, Kovacic, Paredes, and Mussachio in addition to Lapadula, I think we have a competitive squad that can easily fight for a top 5 finish. But like I said before, its the depth that concerns me. Players will no doubt get injured or suspended, so we need to make sure we can have reliable options on the bench. Our fullback positions are covered, along with our center back positions (this is all assuming we buy the players I mentioned before), so its just our midfield and attack that concerns me. Our only reliable back up in the midfield is Kucka, and that concerns me. Same goes for our attack. At this point, I would assume our trident will consist of Bonaventura, Lapadula, and Pjaca, and it looks like Niang will be the only back up. When we buy our starters, we need to start thinking about increasing our squad depth, or the players will run out of gas in the second half of the season.
One more thing. A back up for Donnarumma is a must. I have no doubt he will be a top goalkeeper in the future, but even all top goalkeepers have backups. The back up doesn't even have to be a star player, someone like Sirigu will even suffice. I do not want to see a Primavera keeper become the back up for Donnarumma, even though Donnarumma was just in the Primavera team before last season :p
We had 150 m euros for last year's mercato,
İn the end, we signed only 2 starters. (We already sold one of them to West Ham) The rest were back ups.
Now, we gambled on 2 players not tested on high level. 20 m euros went to 2 back ups.
l was thinking about scudetto first, however, l'm losing my hope day after day. Now Bacca sold to West Ham. Every year, l'm saying it will be next year, that nexy year never comes. l don't know how l would feel if we lose Pjaca to Juve.
Musacchio is a done deal, according to Sky. 18 million euro. Meanwhile we have accepted West Ham's 30 million bid for Bacca, so now it's up to him to agree terms with them.
we might still take a ItalMilan step Sell Bacca and use the money to buy Gabbiadini.

I didnt know he decided to stay at Roma, wow.. That's a shame, but we can look elsewhere now. As for Andre Gomes..I just used him as an example, I mentioned he wouldn't be my personal preference because I haven't seen much of him. Most of you are saying he's not worth it so I'll take your word for it because from the little I've watched I also dont think hes the greatest. I'm happy with the Musacchio news, I just want Pjaca to be official already!
Yea, just a couple days ago he came out and said that he is staying at Roma. I also don't think that Roma have money to replace Pjanic, so I think Paredes is the natural replacement. But of course, it's July 7th and there are 2 months left of the transfer market.....players say they are staying and than a month later they are gone. Who knows.....

Musacchio deal looks as good as done.. He reminds me A LOT of Mascherano, he's such a good ball playing defender. Can dribble the entire field and give some passes ala Pirlo. He's something very different from what we've had down the years, since Silva left actually. He reminds me of Mascherano so much though, could almost play as a CDM but is a very clean ball playing defender. The only problem is we have to pray we can keep him fit, he's had a few injuries but they're reasonable ones, things you cant avoid or arent down to general lack of fitness or ala Pato. In this sense, he reminds me of Silva hopefully .. Buying him around 24/25 suffered from injuries but was a very classy defender, ended up being one of the best in the world - let's hope it works out the same.
Romagnoli isn't necessarily bad with his feet either.. They'll make a good duo.
Suso is back now too, I'm curious as to whether we're going to keep him or loan/sell him. Montella seems to like Niang, and says he expects a lot from him, so I think he'll stay. Menez, Bacca and Adriano should leave. I'm not even considering Matri, but he's also back on our payroll so we should definitely get rid of him first.
Selling Bacca for 30m might seem a good deal, but who is there to replace him? There arent too many quality and affordable strikers out there.

I don't think we need to replace Bacca. We already have Lapadula and Niang, so I'd prefer that the money go somewhere else, preferably in the midfield area.
