It’s reported that Milan sporting director Massimiliano Mirabelli is in danger of being sacked,
However, this morning’s Gazzetta dello Sport is reporting that the Chinese ownership blocked a deal for Bernard of Shakhtar Donetsk, as they’re unhappy with how the season has gone.
The recent bad results for Coach Gennaro Gattuso have not helped, as it was Mirabelli’s idea to appoint him.
Another consideration is Elliott Management, the U.S hedge fund which can take over the club if owner Yonghong Li’s debt to them isn’t repaid.
While that takeover isn’t imminent, Elliott still need to protect their investment and they’re considering appointing a director to assist Mirabelli, or even replace him altogether.
