AC Milan will build a Champions League winning squad - Adriano Galliani
Galliani promises a squad to rival Real Madrid and Barcelona as he plans to strengthen Milan with some star players who will be able to deliver Europe's greatest club trophy

I'm going to assume Flamini will be sold if he doesn't take a huge wage reduction. I don't mind him if he was on 2 mil or so, he's valuable enough squad player but that is it. Senator's will all take a wage reduction or be gone. Sadly, I think Pirlo or Seedorf will be gone. Sokratis will probably be loaned or sold/co-owned to get someone. Bruno and Didac (who haven't established themselves) will likely be used same way, as throw ins to lower transfer fees. Strasser will likely be given to Genoa on loan (he's co-owned) to get much needed first team time. Players like Leggrotaglie will go. Maybe Bonera too
I think Pato, Thiago, maybe abate will get deserved raises too.
I imagine Taiwo and Mexes will be economically viable moves to save money, strengthen defense so we can add elsewhere.
I'm most curious what happens in midfield. If I had my way, one of pirlo/seedorf would go (sad), we keep ambrosini, gattuso, boateng. We sign 2 young central midfielders (in age range of boateng to flamini) giving us a nice balance of 3 veterans and 3 youngers, and get a proper AM. Hopefully Merkel continues his development with Fosatti, Calvano or others breaking in and eventually replacing senatores in a year or two.

the thing that's made pirlo/seedorf successful this year is because we only play 1 of them in a midfield with more dynamic players. They can still be hugely influential in a midfield like this because simply put, you just don't find many passers/playmakers of their ilk in football. It's great if we got Hernanes cause he is + he's dynamic but it's not required. Having Boateng and Flamini in midfield helps them a lot.
If you look atm an utd, the way they utilize scholes is the example. He's a similar player, who has slowed down quite a bit, but is still an exceptional passer. But playing with fletcher, valencia, anderson etc. who all move a lot, cover ground and provide options to pass to makes him useful.
like you said, if inler came. A midfield 3 of pirlo, inler, boateng would not be a defensive liability nor would it have major issues with static play which haunted us in previous years with pirlo, seedorf and ambro. But yes, Pirlo's time is declining and he needs more of a squad role than star role he's had in past. Still useful though. I'd rather keep him than go with a midfield of just athletic grinders like flamini, van bommel, boateng one we used which had real problems with creativity
