Barca's frontline looks fearsome however their midfield and defence level regressed so much since Xavi, Puyol era.

They replaced D.Alves with S.Roberto, Xavi with Rakitic and İniesta with A.Gomes. So much lost in quality. l wonder how they will replace Messi. l.'d not surprised if they replace him with Sanchez or lower level.

They got 2 generations in a row, they had so much luck. Barca will never be the same without Messi. l'm expecting more competitive and balanced world football in the future.

I think it's inevitable that the side would weaken after what was their greatest generation in history and one of the great sides in history is retiring. Even then, they remain one of the best teams in world football and are still very competitive for the top honours. Can't really fault them for that. The only disappointment I see is they've not bedded in a new generation of homegrown talents as well as the last generation and have relied more on making big signings.

That's true Dev. Almost all of their talents that were supposed to take over have failed to do so for one reason or another. In most parts, those young players have even failed to make a mark in other clubs outside of Barca.

I don't think Barcelona has regressed to the extent that would please me. The day they are actually out of CL, the day I will rejoice. That won't arrive for another decade, I am afraid. I just loathe their philosophy and all the on- and off-pitch antics.

Socieded is playing some incredible football against Barcelona right now..pressing at 500000 mph. Apparently Barcelona hasn't won at that stadium for 9 (?) years..

Barca are very one dimensional, but that dimension is so good it is not really that big a problem.

Barcelona have not won away at Real Sociedad since 2007, and had lost on their previous four league visits. Today's draw was already a lucky result for them, I guess.

Me too. Every weekend I just want a few things. Milan to win & Inter, Juve, Barca and Liverpool to lose Big Grin
