Loving Milan is one thing, but taking on 500mil + in debt to purchase the club is not a small thing. (talking about Maldini for example) He (and other legends like him) are simply not capable of doing an operation like this. I think to get mad at Maldini for not getting a group together to buy the club is a bit harsh. We are talking about a huge operation.

Ferrero on the other hand I know is a huge Milan fan and one totally capable of buying anything he wants in life. But not every Milan fan out there is willing to spend all that money I guess. If it was me, or any of us I'm sure, in Ferrero's spot, I would jump at this opportunity right away and just buy the club.

Agree. Not saying Maldini needs to throw in any money, but say you where worth 100s of millions and Maldini came to you and asked if you'd be interested in getting involved in the new Milan... I'd be in for sure... As Reza said, Much like a Mr. Bee, Maldini would be the face only, working to get everyone together to buy the lub and bring it back to what it once was. Wouldnt be too hard for a group of old legends to find investors. 
I'm sure if Renzo received a phone call from Maldini saying that was the plan, he'd be in as one of the main investors.

Target the right groups, and the right people and it's easily manageable. Just need the right face to lead.
