Sure ,we can say "mistakes happens" ,but only when there is no VAR room thing. But since there is VAR involved ,that "mistake" is intentional ,cause there is no way that any sane ,neutral person would overlook that. It simply can not happen ,cause everything is clear. And yes ,there was some mean person(s) in that VAR room which closed their eyes on what happened. Why? We can only speculate. Your guess is good as mine. It is not even conspiracy theory ,it's common logic and pure fact. I'm done with this WC ,not going to watch any of games left ,cause I'm not interested into thieves show.
Avaiting for arrival of exorcist into our boardroom.

Great game between Sweden and Germany. Really feel for the Swedish side and fans, but that can happen when you have quality talents like Kroos and they should take a lot of pride. Germany were lucky though, very VERY lucky not to already be out of the world cup.
I think what's interesting about the competition so far is there's quite a lot of balance and unpredictability. Event the teams expected to be contenders really seem to be struggling and this has meant for quite a lot of drama and entertainment. Add a mix of quality goals and odd moments of controversy and it's quite a good competition on an entertainment level. That said, the quality of play hasn't been impressing me and there's no tactical innovations at all. Even on basic things like counter pressing or setting up the side for set pieces has just been awful across the board. I'm enjoying it, but there's a big gulf between this and the highest level of club football.

There's no favouring the big footballing nations any more. Just an example, yesterdays Neymar dive would be a 100% penalty for any referee, even I thought it was a right decision until the VAR showed what happened.

VAR, and basically FIFA I guess, changed the hand ball rule too. Poulsen's penalty was never a penalty in recent seasons, not even the Korea one today.

I dont know man.. i think Sweden made an awful mistake sitting in their half being 1 man ahead... the defensive line should have been higher and the pressing should have been constant.. they were giving space to the Germans to shoot from the outside or cross the ball in.. that was an absolute no-no in my eyes with Mario Gomez and Muller on the field.. they had the numerical advantage, they shouldnt have allowed the Germans such an easy time to get near the penalty box.. 2nd mistake was imo not bringing in Zlatan for the W.C when he is obviously head and shoulders above the rest in quality and composure on the ball.. Sweden had a fantastic chance to go through and they blew it themselves.. they deserve to go out of the tournament no matter how beautiful the scandinavian ladies they brought to the stadium.. No Zlatan No Party..

Stitch I agree VAR has definitely played a role.
I understand Sweden didn't help themselves, but given it's a limited squad and to lose in the past seconds is always heartbreaking. I think this Panama side is the worst side I've ever seen at a World Cup. They're disgraceful and don't even have my sympathy as the act like asses on the pitch.

At least Saudi lost 0-8 against Germany. This Panama is being beaten to death by... England.
