Van der Meyde: 'Ibrahimovic once punched me for kissing him'

As many know, Zlatan Ibrahimovic can be hot-headed at times and many of his teammates can most definitely confirm this. One of these is former Ajax and Inter man Andy van der Meyde who spoke on a Dutch TV show VTBL about his relationship with the Swedish star among other things.

 "I was sitting next to Zlatan on the bus once when we were at Ajax, I remember once he slept and I, having homosexual tendencies, kissing him on the mouth. A few seconds later I received two punches," he said.

This is funny to read.. especially from a coach of a team that blew a 3-0 half-time lead in Istanbul UCL final and also the same guy who coached the team that blew a 4-1 advantage on Deportivo La Coruna (lost 4-0) either times, he didnt happen to know bridges existes..?

i am surprised from gattuso failure. he was coached by successful coaches (lippi, ancelotti, allegri, zaccherroni etc.) but yet got it wrong .... strange he did not play a 4312 or 4321 as he trained

Because he didn't have the players with similar skill sets as Carlo or Allegri.

Zaccheroni was a fan of 3-4-3, Lippi used different formations (like WC2006).

That means nothing. Some of the best coaches today weren't "coached by successful coaches" and some of the ones that have are average.

Also, playing ability has nothing to do with ability as a coach.

Look at Mourinho as the example. Average player, never had a "successful coach" yet he's become a successful coach, even though I think he's finished.

add to mourinho jurgen klopp but these did some coaching effort learned and studied while gattuso had quality coaches but did him no good. he had some decent players that can do a 4321 or 4312... he did not learn a thing from previous coaches who never used a 433. looks like 4312 or 4321 need some coaching work and gattuso is a lazy ass who uses a plain 433.

I wouldn't call Gattuso a lazy ass. I think he is just too defensive-minded.

Also, just because they played under a great coach wouldn't make them future great coach automatically. Otherwise, the number of great coach would grow exponentially, no?
