I wouldn't mind that, however, I thought the bigger issue for us is that we can't afford the salary for Bakayoko. The way Chelsea handles Bakayoko for the past few years, they are simply loaning him around. If they do that for a few seasons until the contract runs out, they will get a big fat zero euro in sales. They can be eager to get rid of him. Perhaps rescind his contract. Rofl but of course, the same issue remains: Bakayoko may not want the fat contract to just go away. Rofl

yeah. I'm pretty sure the wage was the deal breaker. had his wages not be so high we would have properly considered signing him.

If we're moving back to a 4-3-3 or play a 4-2-3-1, 4-3-1-2 any formation that needs 3 in the middle he'd go nicely sitting behind Modric and Bennacer... just saying...

Also... rumors that we're in with a good chance of getting Thiago Silva.
I would love a Mercato of
Thiago Silva
Modric
Bakayoko
THen if we could pick up a good RB and sort out wingers/strikers depending on our formation. I'd be very happy.
Of course. it all means nothing if we don't get a top coach.

I doubt that Gazidis will allow thd up mentioned transfers. Actually, HE is the reason why Elliots project with Milan is doomed to failure. Leonardo's departure, says all. He left and things went downward.

Not like Leonardo's signings have been killing it though. I wouldn't doubt it if it was always the plan for Paolo to "train" under Leonardo and then take over. I don't think the plan was for that to happen within a year...but clearly something went wrong.

Gazidis gets a lot of stick...but we have no idea what really happened. Gazidis didn't seem to reject Ibra, did he? Maybe he rejected some other experienced, yet not great, players...and i'm ok with that. It's hard to believe that he wouldn't want top players and would settle for youngsters instead. I don't think that's the case. We'll see.

I would kill for T. Silva here. He would be the leader we need in the back. He'd immediately be the best defender in Serie A alonside Koulibaly. I don't care about his age. He's still class. I don't get to watch PSG often, but whenever i do, it's in the CL, and Silva just oozes class and quality. You don't see age on him.

-Silva in the backline. (+ Romagnoli & Theo) - just add a RB

-Modric in the midlde. (+ Bennacer) - we would need more work in the midfield/wide areas if we continue using wide players. This is the area that will need the most work.

-Ibra up top. (+Rebic?) - if opportunity arrises, get more quality, but I like Rebic around Ibra currently and I hope he continues to improve and grow. He is probably our most dangerous player up there due to his speed and movement.

Surround those 3 with the likes of Romagnoli, Theo, Bennacer and add 4 more quality players....we could actually contend for the title. When I say 4 more quality players, I don't mean superstars. I mean serviceable players. A mix of young and mid 20s players. That would be a RB,

The existence of Gazidis is to correct the yearly losses. I am not sure we can be against this. Is he doing it poorly? perhaps but someone has to try. Milan fans must realize, as much as Maldini and Boban (even Leonardo) must realize too, the Berlusconi era is over. ~90 million losses a year must stop some time, if not 2020 then 2021, etc. If Gazidis fails someone else will come and try.
In terms of transfers creativity is needed but I am still against being the next PSG, Milan must not be FFP loophole team.

The biggest obstacle of getting T.Silva is his wage which is 1.5m gross/month. He has to take a big paycut for sure

Modric is earning £180,000/wk. Can we afford both him and Silva?
