the true pathway, was the one Maldini chose, except his decision to hire that cunt Giampaolo. Maldini made the approach of Theo Hernandez possible, the only one and single quality player in the whole team we have. Had it not been, Maldini we would still play with RR, and maybe even Antonelli. And if someone tries to tell now that Rangnick will do the same, and make a parallel to Maldini, then i say he is a football .....
No team that Rangnick has been involved with the past 5 years has been a relegation battler. On the contrary, they've been in the CL. There is nothing to suggest that we will be fighting relegation or even in midtable if he comes aboard. And no, the fact that we'll sign unknown players doesn't prove that either. Nothing wrong in signing Naby Keita before Barca does. Or Firmino. Or many others for that matter.
Are you correct? Maybe. Who knows? But you are not basing any of your words on what we've seen Rangnick do.
I love Maldini. He is my hero, my legend. I will never say a bad word about him and I wish he would stay. I've defended him as well and I agree that the only true mistake he made was Giampaolo. Unfortunately, it doesn't look likely that he and Rangnick can coexist. And as much as I love Maldini, if he were to leave and Rangnick was going to take over, I don't see it as such doom and gloom. There is absolutely nothing out there to suggest that Ralf can't repeat his success with Milan. Not worried about signing unknowns from lower leagues. I'd actually rather that, provided the fact that these are well scouted individuals with a defined plan on how they'll be used.....than signing random names like we have been in the last 7-8 years.
On Hernandez.....Maldini takes credit for sure because he saw something in the player and obviousy played a vital role in convincing him. But, let's be honest here. It was no big coup. In a way, Maldini did what Rangnick has made a career out of and exactly what you seem to be complaining about when it comes to him. Not like teams were lining up for Theo. He was deemed to have failed at Madrid. He was deemed to be a troublemaker. So by the looks of it, Maldini did exactly what Rangnick does, which what confused me about your comments to begin with. Only that Rangnick does this at a lower cost and mostly in lower ranked countries, and Maldini did it with Empoli (Bennacer) and Real (Hernandez). The important part is, there was a thought process behind both signings. A thought process that many Milan fans disagreed with. People weren't that happy with the "failed, troublemaker" LB from Madrid. People weren't happy with the main midfield signing being from a relegated club. But look now.
Same thing with Rangnick's signings. People (you seem to be like this now) will not be happy with signing a player from the Belgium league that they've never heard about. That would mean we'd be fighting relegation. In reality, if there is good scouting, plan and a thought process, more than likely people will change their minds quickly just like with Theo.
I 100% prefer signing Paqueta before he is 35 million player, the point is those that may (or may not) flop at Milan should at least cost less. Rangnick is far from doom and gloom, doesn't mean he will not fail at Milan but the strategy that we are claiming he will do is what Milan has to try at least. Hernandez alone doesn't prove anything about Maldini (and Boban), sure if Maldini stays longer he might find more like him but 1 signing doesn't prove much.

call it whatever you want, dont give a damn shit about.
on what do you base your optimism when you are speaking of Rangnick, a 61 year old who has at best in his life won a DFB cup in Germany. You expect him, to start a winning cycle in a club like ACM? share pls the name of the drugs you are on , maybe , it will help me be as optimist as you are.
to the ones who point out at Leipzig as, his masterwork... let me remind you... its easier to take a team from nowhere and settle it in the middle of somewhere, than making a 7 CL holder , make win again.
Pardon me, i forgot to mention that the mastermind Rangnick has won 2 chamiponships in the Austrian Village League
What does that have to do with our current Milan?
It's not like we are firing Pep to go to Rangnick. Berlusconi left the team with lots of debt, mostly if not all his fault. He sold the team to a person who didn't even have an office in his home country, and the few appearances he has had since are not in a public place, now after few years it is more than just "opinion" that the Berluscon/Li deal is very wrong, I don't think F&M were a huge disaster but they spent lots too.
So what other methods are left now? The team is still losing lots and even without FFP can't keep going like this. Maldini/Boban staying will achieve what? Cause big spending is not possible. Milan is not in EPL and I don't want Milan to be PSG.

Its even worse, we are downgrading from Maldini to Rangnick.
Maldini as a manager hasn't done anything, this is no time to let a playing career dictate the future of the team, the risk is too big. As management Rangnick has a track record, it is easy to dismiss but he is one of the builders of Red Bull teams basically

And where exactly is Milan now????? We keep talking about this "7 CL titles" thing. We keep hearing about Milan being "back to where it belongs"!!! But where does it belong? Where is Milan now??? The answer is nowhere! We are also nowhere! So if Rangnick can take us from nowhere, to CL, like he did Leipzig, than what is the problem with that??
We need to stop talking about the 7 CL. We need to look at the reality. If people that are being realistic are "on drugs".....then what the hell are people that keep talking about "where Milan belongs" and "7 CL" on??? Maybe you should tell us what drugs you are on, so that we can all take them and just continue living in the past, where everything is still nice and beautiful and where Milan still matters in the world of football. Because where we are...it doesn't and it hasn't for at least 7-8 years.
2 swap deals are proposed for Paqueta
- Paqueta and Fiorentina's centre-back Nikola Milenkovic as Fiorentina interest in Paqueta is increasing.
-Paqueta + Money for Benfica's Fiorentino Luis.
Rossoneri are ready to step up interest in Netherlands international Memphis Depay as his possible replacement, a player repeatedly linked over the past couple of years. Rangnick approves the profile of Depay, despite having characteristics and qualities very different from those of Rebic and the pursuit of the former Manchester United man seems possible.
Milan rejects Barca offer to sign Arsenal flop Denis Suarez.
Pol Lirola and Calabria swap deals discussed.
Forza Diavolo ale!!!
This is another example of Milan needing a new way. To get a 20 year old DM with less than 20, I think 15 only, first team appearances we need cash + someone we paid 35 million for.
