Dida will coach the Primavera team's goalkeepers. (Repubblica)
Would be good if he cuts his wages by 80%
Will be great to see Dida back at the club.

The transfer targets will change now that Pioli is confirmed. No more Luka Jovic or Dominik Szoboszlai. Instead, AC Milan will try to sign Sandro Tonali, Gaetano Castrovilli, and Marash Kumbulla. (CM)
I'd prefer Zlatan stays. And would be stupid to let Leao go now.
Tonali - yes please (if the price is right)
Castrovilli - Too Expensive
Kumbulla - yes please

I think bringing back Pobega is a smart move, bit obviously we'll need another player (3rd choice initially but able to push Kessie/Bennacer and obviously able to start if they are out due to cards, injuries or loss of form). Obviously have Tonali as that player would be awesome...but can we (or should we) spend that kind of money in that position when Kessie/Bennacer are tearing it up.
If we follow the same logic for Kjaer-Romagnoli, then Kumbulla is probably a good bet. Although I don't know how much he'll cost.
Castrovilli is a great player, but Fiorentina will want a lot of cash for him. Not really sire he'll be worth it. He's also excelled in a LCM position...and looking at our formation right now, I'm not really sure where he'd fit in.
I'm not sure I'd have kessie as a guarantee after so few good games. I also think it's a risk to spend 30m on Tonali. The only way I see that panning out is if Kessie is sold.
Pobega should definitely come back to stay.
Kumbulla would be a good pickup but would definitely look at Sarr considering he's on a free. I would still love to see us get Ajer.
Castrovilli is great but just like Chiesa, Fiorentina would ask stupid money for him. Money he's not worth

Definitely shouldn't be giving up on him. He's definitely showed some talent. Just needs to ease into it and continue to grow. Keeping Zlatan around would be beneficial for him.

Tonali is a must-buy, which combines many advantages: quality, long-term prospect and Italian..furthermore and even if Pobega is going to enforce the first-team next year, we need Tonali. Biglia is going to leave and we are going to have EC games next year. Tonali and Bennacer should be the first choices and Kessie as regular first team, which can play also right sided positions.
Maybe it's just me, but I don't actually hate the idea of us signing younger players who have had experience in italy. While it is exciting to think we are going to get these cheap young German, Austrian or France players, those youngsters will take a ton of time adapting to Italy. If our goal is to be competitive next year, that plan is extremely risky. Let's see what Maldini and Pioli can do. If anything, Maldini didn't do too terribly last season when it comes to transfers.

That's jsut it. Italian youngsters come at a premium for a reason. Youngsters form other leagues are a risk. People like to concentrate on the success stories when looking at overseas youngsters but how many of them fail? In fact, how many experienced players fail in Serie A?
it's a hard league to adapt to.

So GDS has a story saying Milan is back in for Tonali and are fighting Inter on that front. Apparently, there are 2 offers on the table:
1) Inter - Loan + obligation to buy next summer at a valuation of 30M, payable over 4 years
2) Milan - Loan + obligation to buy next summer at a valuation of 30M, payable over 3 years
This would be a great deal. Initially, I was hesitant to spend 30M in the CM department and I was thinking we should go for a cheaper option. But if we are able to essentially get Tonali for "free" this summer and push the cost to next summer, then that would leave the remaining budget to be spent on a RB and RW, which I think are the biggest needs of the squad currently. Let's see what happens, but this would be a great start to the market. It seems our offer is better, since Brescia will get the cash in 3 rather then 4 years. All else is reported to be equal. Let's not forget that the player will 100% choose Milan if given the choice.
If this was to go through, our CM department would be set. Bennacer, Kessie, Tonali and Pobega. Great competition there and if someone is out of form or injured, we could easily replace them in the line up and the quality wouldn't necessarily go down (between Benna, Kessie and Tonali). Pobega on the other hand can develop without much pressure.
That leads us to CB, RB, AM, RW and CF.
CB: I'm ok with Romagnoli and Kjaer being the starting pair next summer. I think Gabbia needs to be loaned out. Musacchio will be here because of his current injury and it seems Duarte will currently be the 4th choice when the season starts. So we need a 3rd choice CB....but not only, as we need this 3rd choice to be someone that can easily slot in as a starter and as a matter of fact, eventually become a starter.
RB: I know we got Kalulu. I don't know anything about him. Reports are that he can play as a CB or a RB. So maybe he IS that 3rd CB that I was talking about above...or maybe he'll be utilized as a RB. In any case...I think we currently need a starting RB. Someone like Theo on the right side.
Not sure how reliable Mundo Deportivo is....but here is a link them saying we are in advanced negotiations with Barca. Price between 25-30mil. https://www.mundodeportivo.com/futbol/fc...barca.html
The article states Barca values the player at 30M and apparently sources close to the club have confirmed talks. But Milan won't go above 25M. It seems like a small gap to be made up, so a deal is possible. One obstacle is the fact that per his current deal, Emerson is to stay at Betis this coming season and Barca can buy him for 6mil next season....however if they want to acquire him now, they have to pay 9mil. Therefore, out of the sum that Milan pays, 9mil will have to go to Betis initially and the rest stays with Barca.
I don't know much about this guy and even his youtube videos don't seem impressive. But I wouldn't dare question Paolo's fullback choices. So if we go for this guy, then I guess we are set in the fullback roles.
AM: Seems like Hakan is starting to deliver consistently as an AM. Not a surprise since all of us here, and everyone everywhere for that matter, has been calling for Hakan to be played in the hole. It took 2 years, but he's finally there. And "surprise surprise", he's been impressive. So at the moment, we need competition for Hakan. I'm not saying a back up and I'm not saying a starter. But someone good enough to compete with him for the starting spot.
RW: We need a great 1v1 player. A starter. Saelemaekers has done well, but he's just turned 21 and although he's proving to be a useful player...he's not one that should be our starting RW at the moment. Castillejo has been decent, but again, I'm not envisioning him being our starting RW if we want to fight for a title and be a constant CL team. It's a question in what to do with Saelemaekers and Castillejo. Saele will obviously not be sold as he was just bought. A loan could be an option, but I really like his attitude and the way he plays. So i'd keep him as an option. Castillejo I think can be sold and he has a market. But, it wouldn't be wrong to keep them both as they can also play in different positions (Salemaekers - LW and RB; Castillejo - LW).
CF: It will depend on Ibra. If he stays, than we don't need to blow a lot of money here. If he goes, we'll need to sign a top CF. Rumors of Scamacca have been persistent. I'm ok with that if Ibra stays. It might actually be the perfect thing for Scamacca as he could grow under Ibra. If Ibra goes, then Scamacca himself is not enough. In this case, I would want someone like Depay. Different player then Ibra, but in reality, very much the same role as Ibra in this team. Ibra drops deep and tries to create while also making late runs in the box when the ball is wide. If we think about he way Depay plays, it's very much similar. Drops deep and becomes a part of the midfield in the build up. Therefore I don't think Depay will change the game plan for this team. Actually, I think he would perfectly fit right in the same spot where Ibra plays. One thing we would lose out on is the aerial play...but we would gain on mobility.
Milan wants Dumfries or Emerson for the right-back position. But, it can't be excluded that both Calabria and Conti remain.
For the left side, Laxalt might leave to Lokomotiv Moscow, and as a backup to Theo, Milan could re-open talks with Wigan over Antonee Robinson. (Tuttosport)
In case Ibrahimovic stays, AC Milan will target a young striker to sign: Gianluca Scamacca to learn from the Swedish champion. But, if Zlatan leaves, Milan will try to sign Giroud or Mandzukic. Jovic is still an option but a deal is very complicated. (Tuttosport)
Bernardeschi changed agents, and although his priority is Juventus, he could still leave. Chances of staying with Juve is 40%, signing for Milan: 40%, Napoli: 10% Atletico Madrid: 10%. (GdS)
Napoli looking for Rafael Leao as an alternative for Osimhen. (Tuttosport)

Premier league beggars Man City using Riyad Mahrez to convince Bennacer to sign for City. (Le10Sport)
On the 26th of July, AC Milan will meet with representatives of Lokomotiv Moscow to discuss the signing of Laxalt. The player is open to the idea of playing for the Russian club. (Longo)
Luann Capanni is wanted on loan from Venezia and a club in Eredivisie. The player likes to play abroad. (Longo)
Ibrahimovic would be happy to stay with AC Milan. However, an agreement will not be easy to reach because he would demand a high salary of around 6M€. Milan is yet to present an offer to the player. (CorSera)

1) I don't want both Conti and Calabria to stay. I just think even though the high form we've been going through....they've been the "weaker" links on the field. They've improved...but I think we need something better. Having said that, I have no idea if Dumfires or Emerson are that "something better"
2) Ibra-Scamacca, ok. But if Ibra leaves, I don't want Giroud or Mandzukic. Jovic at this point seems to just be too much of a problem in terms of cost (salary, etc)
3) I don't know about Bernardeschi. Seems like he failed big time at Juventus, and I don't want us to give Juventus cash for their failed projects.
4) I thought Osimhen is a done deal. That whole negotiation is so weird. Anyway, I wouldn't sell Leao. If they wanna give us the 80mil they set aside for Osimhen, then maybe.
I disagree that we need a 3rd choice CB. We we need a definitive starter to raise our level. We won't get better by slightly upgrading our 3rd choices... That goes for all positions by the way.
Again, for striker I'd take Cavani as a free agent over Giroud, Mandzukic and the likes any day. And I would not spend €40-50m on Jovic either, I think it would be too much of a gamble.

Osimhen did slightly better at Lille than what Leao did, so let's say €70m.
