Milan closing in Esponyol midfielder Marc Roca, According to what is being reported by TVC Deportes on Twitter, Roca is in fact close to joining Milan. His agent was in Italy on Friday with the objective of wrapping up negotiations for his client ahead of a new adventure in Serie A.

Forza Diavolo ale!!!
So couple things there....
1) one probably excludes the other. So it's probably either Roca or tonali
2) Roca's price seems to be under 20mil (Espanyol relegated), while Tonali's is in the 30mil range. However, as per the reports yesterday, Tonali would come on an initial loan + obligation.

So...who would you guys choose?

I have less exposure to Roca then Tonali. So i've seen more of Tonali. But I did watch Espanyol just recently play Madrid, and although unfortunately Espanyol didn't see much of the ball....Roca was probably Espanyol's most dangerous player, all due to free kicks. This dude has some serious left foot power/whip. He seems to be a good player stuck in a bad team, much like Tonali I guess.

So to answer my own question....because I think these players are of very similar quality, it's almost stupid to spend double the money on Tonali, as I would rather spend that on a RW or RB. BUT, if we could get Tonali on an initial loan, then that also leaves free cash to spend on RW/RB.
Another advantage for Roca imo, is his passing range. Tonali is no scrub when it comes to range either, but Roca I think trumps him in this department. And as I've recently said, we badly lack passing range in the midfield. We play in a shirt range and having someone to open up the field after 4-5 short passes would be a game changer. It's why I was initially wanting Koomeiners as well.

I will have Roca instead, he is more experienced and mature than Tonali and cheaper too and Tonali is bit technically better than Roca as per I watched a lot highlights of Espanyol but for Milan(who is struck with FFP) should move for Roca.
Forza Diavolo ale!!!
